Did anyone see this on NBC Nightly News?
It was the second of 2 reports about the war. David Gregory's was the first piece, but I don't think it was his report.

Anyway, they showed a sound bit from Grover Norquist, saying that Geoge needs to get back to issues like tax cuts, and move away from Iraq because its "costly"

First, I would argue the war hasn't cost him a thing. But that isn't my point. I don't think there can be any other issue, other than the war, until the 2006 midterm elections. To push for tax cuts, as the war drags on with no end in sight, does huge a disservice to the troops.

When they try to change the subject (because we all know Grover and Dobson and that crowd calls the tunes) let's remind them there is a war on. Make them look like they don't "support the troops" because tax cuts are more important to them. It just might work.

4. besides this is George's war........
......he began this war. Iraq has been a consistent theme throughout this entire administration!!

Sure tax cuts are part of it but if you ask me, the past 5 yrs have been primarily about Iraq!! And now that they see support for it is sagging, they don't want to talk about it.

I think it's all we should be talking about. They wanted a war, they want to keep it going.......absolutely they should be talking about it!

7. "move away from Iraq"..is that anything like moving the troops OUT
of Iraq? Probably not. So just what DOES that mean, "move away from Iraq"? Should * just quit mentioning it? Quit sending money over there? Forget it's happening at all?

8. What callous, unfeeling assholes they are
Iraq isn't a fucking "issue". This is life and death, Grover, or didn't you think about that when you and your kind were playing with our boys' lives like 10 year olds playing "Risk"? I hope you all burn in hell.

They CAN'T steer the discussion away from Iraq.

They think they have a political problem, but they don't. That's why the old Rovian tricks won't work anymore. They have a policy problem (Iraq) that is creating a political problem.

The political problems can't be solved by spin anymore; they can only be alleviated by a change in policy.

involved in it. Then they say, 'HELL NO!'.
