OUR SOLDIERS DID NOT DIE IN VAIN
I thought they had. And it made me sad and angry. How many young lives lost... for NOTHING?

But this article brought it home to me.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x2266885

They did not die in vain. Those who will die, are dying--their deaths are not in vain.

Because their deaths are defeating the most evil tyrant this country has ever faced: Bush/Cheney.

The article points out how the escalating deaths of our soldiers is the single most important thing which is driving people to come out and seek to end this fraudulent war.

THANK YOU, SOLDIERS! You did not die in vain. In fact, you may have saved America.

1. I can accept that logic
In fact I will and I will spread that logic as near and far as I can. But oh what a shame. It is so sad to think of all the pain and suffering conservatives have put upon this country.

3. I swear, BOSSHOG
I am very bitter and at this point I'm more angry at the people who voted for these criminals a year ago......I am just sickened so many Americans have no idea what it means to "live free".

6. And with every soldier's death, we come closer to removing
the little shrunken tyrant, and to annihilating the republican party forever.

Although, I'd really, really, rather NOBODY had to die to accomplish this!

9. I hold the voters solely responsible
bush was a transparent monster the last two elections. He should have been sent packing back to wherever he comes from. The ignorant, lemming masses hoisted him upon our country and the world and they think everything is fine now. Christian conservatives who vote for republicans are the number one domestic enemy of the constitution today. I'm an open minded guy but that is a nonarguable statement.

How ya doing otherwise Dear! As someone once said, don't let the bastards get ya down.

7. Thinking of it this way might keep me from
crying every time I read the story of how some young soldier met his/her death. As it is, I can't stand to read the individual stories, but sometimes I make myself read them.

2. Right! All of us are Learning a great deal, because

of what is happening to the Soldiers and Others.

We're learning important Necessary things about ourselves and others and how "things" work in our country.

If a Soldier dies, and it turns our that that death wasn't for whatever the "leader" said, that doesn't mean there is no other meaning to the death.

There is a group in Amerika who places more Glory on Death than they do the individual seconds of each individual's relatively unique Life.

Also, as a person who has lost someone very close to me, the Dead leave their entire lives, every second, every breath, every act, behind them. They had concrete effects on others from the moment of their births, ergo no matter what they "die for", Reality has already been changed by who and what they were, whatever that was.

4. I suppose there will be some solace in this..
..if Bush does down, but I am saddened that the American public was so gullible and willing to believe the lies of the government that so many, our own soldiers and civilians in Iraq, had to die.

8. ...and what's worse is, they're still dying!
Damn Bush/Cheney! I won't even tell what has been my prayer every night for years now. I might get arrested.

5. Excellent article
Tomsdispatch is a great source. I can't agree about our soldiers not having died in vain, but it's not a POV for which I'm keen to dance, I'll just continue to harbor the sadness for them and the entire country of Iraq. No one won.
