16. That's great! I just love good cartoons!
To me, making a political point well and saying something funny or amusing in cartoon is the top of editoral work. Everyone who looks at the editorial page reads the cartoon. If you don't read a single letter or column, you check the cartoon.

We have been published in a newspaper with a hard copy circulation of 16,000 TWO times in the past week, and they're publishing another one in the next few days.

We've been mentioned in an editorial article, and that article has been republished in dozens of cities.

A few days ago, we were sitting on top of Molly Ivins. Her article, that is.

15. Yes! And they are inspired by Murtha, who challenged.
There's an old saying.

If you want to be a leader, find a riot, and get in front of it. He's become a leader because so many were waiting for someone to step up. Cindy did so in August. Now we have a legit conservative Dem doing so. This is HUGE.

13. Darth Vader killed Obi-Wan so I don't know if we want this comparison.
Edited on Tue Nov-22-05 05:59 PM by Zynx
Though Obi-Wan did ispire Luke to join the rebellion and become a Jedi so maybe it's not so bad of a comparison. Hopefully Murtha will inspire the Dems to do the right thing and get our troops out. They shouldn't be there.

14. It was a matter of choices. Who's Murtha going to be ...
... in Star Wars?

See, Cheney and Murtha are old, old friends. They served together in the House decades ago. Murtha says he doesn't know what happened to Cheney, that Cheney has lost his way.

For that reason, I think the Murtha/Obi v. Darth cheney works.

As for the outcome, Obi might go down, but the cause prevails, partly inspired by him. We need a hero, and Murtha's it for now.
