The Mortician From Ohio

Anyone interested in Ohio in 2008 and 2006 better pay attention to this developing story concerning the fight at Ohio Democratic Party over election of a new chair. There is an attempt to install the same old useless hacks as party chair. Alot of things will be happening this coming week. The fate of the Ohio Democratic Party seems to hinge on a mortician from Dayton. Article from:

"Saturday, November 26, 2005
Major Announcement Coming: We will have more on this continuing, very important, story after this holiday weekend. We are posting a series of stories regarding the Ohio Democratic Party new Chair election. Visit our Democratic Party Reform Page if you want to see an overview of what will be happening after the weekend.

The new, transitional Chair of the Ohio Democratic Party starting on November 30, 2005 has life experience that will serve her well: The temporary chair of the Ohio Democratic Party is Rhine McLin, the Mayor of Dayton. Ms McLin is also an Embalmer and has an associate degree in mortuary science. She is also a licensed Funeral Director. Hopefully Mayor McLin will bury the corpse of an unresponsive and ineffective Democratic Party and set a process in place that will lead to an effective opposition party in Ohio."

1. Your malicious attack is dropping like
a rock. Rhine McLin has a family business like many legislators and politicians. Her and her family for generations have been the rock of Dayton Ohio.... She is expertly prepared to hand the Democratic Chairman Election process. She has her ranking among Democrats because she has earned it. She is the one....live with it.

2. no attack
There is no disrespect towards Mayor McLin nor towards her profession. She is a very good person and I wish her the best.

The analogy is that the ODP which has been dead for years is finally getting embalmed and hopefully buried. A new ODP has to be born.

I hope you are right that the process for a new chair will be handled properly. But I doubt it. there are too many party hacks involved right now and everyone else is being left out. The announcement of Denny's retirement on Thanksgiving eve is being noted in most of the Ohio press as proof that the fix is in.

3. WTF? What attack are you talking about?
The OP seemed to be in SUPPORT of McLin and AGAINST the usual bullshit ineffective hacks who've ruined the OH Dems over the past 15 years. You need to read a little bit closer.

4. Is it an attack?
Seriously, the story linked is so poorly written that I couldn't figure out the point. It seemed like a series of random sentences pieced together from different articles.

I've never anything bad about McLin either. In fact, I wish she was in the running to permanently take over as Chair. I've been very disappointed how ODP treats women, and it's great to have her lead the election.

5. She is a brave and dynamic lady. She has a gentle, kind soul.

It may be a bit obvious in light of my defensive behavior that she is a friend of mine. She has endured her share of criticism by those who could never do half the job she does. She gives to the community in ways the media does not even follow or know of.... She was overwhelming re-elected this month as Mayor by the people who do.

6. Another one!
“Parsley said he wasn’t suggesting that the group was providing $10 million in cash, but rather, it was pledging to spend that amount during the next four years participating in festivals and other events with Reformation Ohio. But Anderson said his group is committed only to having volunteers pay their own way to make appearances and speak at events.”

“Parsley, senior pastor and televangelist at World Harvest Church in Columbus, said yesterday that Reformation Ohio, a new nonprofit corporation, received money for last week’s Statehouse rally — which included a Jumbo-Tron screen to show a video and television cameras to record the event. But he declined to disclose the amount or the sources, saying the Reformation Ohio board has not determined its policy about disclosures.”
