1. Roosevelt told the truth. Bush would have fireside lies and propaganda
written by Rove and Cheney. I for one would not listen and I think only his 37% support would.

2. Everytime he talks, people see more and more and like less and less
so, hey, I'm for it. C'mon, have Cheney tell you what to say and start'em up.

Could you imagine all of the talking heads on Faux, CNN, MSNBC, having this much fodder to talk about?

3. Jaysus, the Bush bastard looks REALLY rough in that picture...also Junior
Junior SHOULDN'T even be MENTIONED in the same sentence as FDR.

I find that VERY offensive. I HATE John Warner, he's such a vicious POS.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph...no WONDER Liz Taylor started boozing and eating like a damn hog when she was married to him...who WOULDN'T of?

The man must have driven her nuts...WHAT was she thinking of getting married to that pig?

8. And the fundies would freak if they knew what that script between the
two stars on the Iraqi flag said....ALLAH! (FWIW, Saddam added that little touch when he wanted to appeal to a more religious, Pan-Arab audience...).

The only similarity between the Monkey and FDR is that they both had Scottie dogs...and Fala actually liked FDR, and FDR never dropped his pooch on his head....

10. The Fundies
Are freaks anyhow...stupid freaks at that. They lack any form of rational intelligence whatsoever.

Yeah, I remember that picture where numbnuts dropped Barney on the tarmac in front of a group of children.

Poor Barney, he's SO cute and sweet, he doesn't deserve to be owned by such a monster

FREE BARNEY!!

The other BIG differences between Junior and FDR:

FDR wasn't a Chimp.

FDR didn't have Mouse ears.

Look at Junior's big 'ole Mickey Mouse ears!

7. Seeing as how Chimpy has undone everything FDR accomplished
I find it ironic that he thinks "little chats" will somehow improve things. He really grossly underestimates the US public.

13. Lost his appealing sheen has he? The fear derived veneer coming
off around the edges?? No more boogah boogah to scare up the ratings?? Silly little man, making war on a defenseless country to create a legacy for himself. History will not be kind to this one.

14. I love the stink of desperation
Can you imagine that punk saying, see, freedumb is on the march, see. They hate us for our freedumb. They're in their death throes, see.

His ratings would be in single digits by the time the second one ended.

15. Oh, I can just picture this.
A "fireside" chat, huh?

Bush is sitting by a fireplace. A nice, cozy fire is burning. Bush has a cup of hot cider on the table. He looks comfy, has his legs crossed, his hands folded in his lap.

Bush's PR people have done their best to recreate FDR. It was a little tough, though considering the material they have to work with.

Bush leans forward, to address nervous and hateful Americans. He knows his ratings are in the toilet. He opens his mouth....

And blows his last remaining chance of rescuing himself. It ain't gonna happen. This is just Sen. Warner having a little fun with Bush.

16. The fireside aspect is a problem.
...Bush is sitting by a fireplace. A nice, cozy fire is burning. Bush has a cup of hot cider on the table. He looks comfy, has his legs crossed, his hands folded in his lap...

It doesn't go well with this article:

Middle Class Gets in Line for Help With Rising Heating Bills

"We have more people applying for help, and more of them are in a higher income group than we've seen before,"...

http://www.nytimes.com/2005/11/27/nyregion/27heat.html?pagewanted=print

How resentful would Bush's cozy fire and hot cider make people?
