Going in to '06, let's remind Republicans - "You Broke It, You Own It."
They hold a majority in the House and Senate, they have a largely unquestioned Presidency...Spin it any way they want to - the Republicans own the State of the Union as it is today.

They broke it, they own it.

Responsibility and accountability mean something.

We Dems fight tooth and nail about our own, and it's always about accountability and responsibility.

It's time to remind the Republican Party we mean what we say. And it includes them.

They broke it, they own it.

1. I think their plan was always to break it
Screw up the world as much as possible, then let Dems sort out the wreckage while they plan to come back in 2012, tan and rested. They've set up an infrastructure where they can warehouse their senile nazis at fantastic salaries until they can smear a Dem president and legislature again, then get back in power and do it again.

To protect against that, Dems should simply not meet with any lobbyist that employs a single Rethug. Starve them out, make them move out of DC, and defang them.

3. Good advice - Keep hammering that message out.
They did break it, and should be held accountable at the ballot box.

7. Recommended. They need this brought to their attention.
EVERYONE needs this brought to their attention. Lest we run across anybody who's wavering about maybe voting republi-CON in the near future. All this SHIT we are slogging through now, domestically AND internationally, was initiated on the GOP's watch.

6. That's WELL worth reminding people.
Make sure, when you do, to throw in the poll numbers that have, over the last couple of YEARS, at least, shown clear majorities of the American people think this country has veered off on the wrong track. It's only being reported now. But the numbers on that question - right direction/wrong track have been RESOUNDINGLY negative for quite awhile now - as far back as I can remember through the bushII years. If anything, they've only grown more lopsided on the "wrong track" side in the last couple of months. But they've been that way for years now. Ever since the republi-CON/theocracy/American Taliban agenda started making itself felt. And let's remember - AND REPEATEDLY REMIND - that THIS DID NOT HAPPEN WHEN THE DEMOCRATS WERE RUNNING THINGS. And the polls reflected THAT, too. You have republi-CON majority rule to thank for this.
