Withdrawl
How do you think a withdrawl from Iraq beginning in '06 would affect the elections? The whispers are going that way and it seems to me that it would be a smart move for Bush. If the troops are coming home, we lose some ammunition. Thoughts?

1. Iraq is a burning tire around the GOB's neck and even if you take it off..
...there's still burning rubber all over.

3. Well and Good
I think that a withdrawl will appease the majority who think Iraq was a mistake. Americans are forgiving.

2. Iraq is a Republican led disaster, whether we "withdraw" today or in 2010.
I support withdrawal and also support holding the powers that be (a Republican Congress and out of control Presidency) accountable for this abuse of American economic and military power.

4. Nothing Bush does is smart.
You should know that by now...

5. Nah
Not really, he seems to be a reasonably astute guy to me and while certain things that come out of his administration are absurd, he does a pretty good job on political lines.

7. Even if we disdraw,
we must not forgive and forget how we got there in the first place.
All the hype, the cherry-picking of intelligence and yes- the ourtright lies!

8. It will make him look weak to his base, IMO
It will paint the GOP as the party of bad ideas, and then no ideas, who have to get their decent ideas from the minority. He can't win on that one. And then there is the question of why 2100++++ kids died over in the sandbox...

Makes "read my lips, no new taxes" look like a minor blip.
