Hartford Courant LTTE's: Lieberman's Controversial War Stance
There are 3: 1 Supporting Lieberman and 2 against. My LTTE is the last one on this page

http://www.courant.com/news/opinion/letters/hc-letbox1128.artnov28,0,3346071.story?coll=hc-headlines-letters

Douglas Schwartz, director of the Quinnipiac University Poll, was quoted in The Courant as saying, "Voters tend to associate the war with the president, not Sen. Lieberman."

The only vote Sen. Lieberman will get from this Connecticut Democrat is one to convict him of war crimes. I won't be voting for Sen. Lieberman in next year's election, regardless of whether he has opposition.

When this period in U.S. history is written, Ahmed Chalabi will go down as the greatest con artist in history. He suckered the last great superpower into an immoral war that is bleeding our military and treasury dry. Some of us voters remember Sen. Lieberman calling Chalabi, who is a known convicted embezzler, a "principled man." What does that say about Lieberman's judgment?

Sen. Lieberman was instrumental in getting Democratic support for the 2002 Iraq war resolution in the Senate. Based upon the legal and moral philosophy from the Nuremburg Trials, Sen. Lieberman is an enthusiastic accomplice to President Bush's war crimes against Iraq.

I have nothing but utter contempt and disgust for Sen. Lieberman. It's a shame that the Connecticut Democratic Party cannot develop a sound alternative to Sen. Lieberman.

2. many dems in CT
wish someone would challenge him. Unfortunately there are very few dems in CT with the name recognition to do so. I think we should concentrate on defeating Congresswoman Nancy Johnson in 2006.

3. I got a LTTE rebuking my LTTE!!!!
I must have helped strike a chord.

A View Worthy Of Censure
http://www.courant.com/news/opinion/letters/hc-lets1201.artdec01,0,6920649.story?coll=hc-headlines-letters>http://www.courant.com/news/opinion/letter...adlines-letters

It's the 3rd LTTE from the top by Lawrence J. Davidson Jr. of Farmington, CT.

Was I too emotional in my LTTE? And what higher obligation do I have as Killingly's DTC secretary?
And this LTTE writer totally ignores the lessons of the Nuremburg Trials. Guess he censored himself.

I don't think I'll get censured by my LTTE, and I don't care if I do get censured. I'm not sorry for what I wrote and will not apologize to Lieberman about it.

One of the long term members who had a son in Iraq told me that he will not vote or donate to Lieberman's campaign any more. He's got pull with the Old Guard, so while the pro-Lieberman clique, if they read my LTTE in the Courant, might object to my reference as KDTC's secretary, I expect the bulk of KDTC to not raise a fuss about my LTTE.

4. I also got fan mail yesterday.
A guy from West Hartford snail mailed me a letter a couple days ago.

Here's what he wrote...

THANK YOU for your "RIGHT ON TARGET" letter in the Courant on Monday regarding Joe Lieberman and his stance on this awful war. I'm sure you saw the headlines today (Nov. 29).

`We Do Have A Plan'
Returning From Iraq, Lieberman Praises U.S. Strategy, Urges Bush To Tout Successes

http://www.courant.com/news/politics/hc-iraq1129.artnov29,0,1739727.story?coll=hc-headlines-politics

How does he sleep at night????

Again, good job on your letter. Quite frankly, I'm surprised the Courant published it. But I'm thankful they did.

In yesterday's Courant, they add to the pile on Lieberman. Never thought I'd see a headline in a CT paper like this one.

Lieberman In Step With GOP On How To Run War
http://www.courant.com/news/nationworld/hc-joebush1201.artdec01,0,5242006.story?coll=hc-headlines-home

Course, the Courant is owned by the notorious Republican-backed Chicago Tribune company, so maybe they see this headline as a compliment.
