I just got a call from an organization headed by LaRouche

asking for donations in their efforts to oust Cheney. I really don't know much about this guy, but some websites paint him as kind of a nut. Anyone else get this call?

now and then I forget to look at caller ID and I answer it. She is nice but talks about Cheney and the rest of the Bush admin. actually doing the work of the DEVIL. She insists that all of our troubles are because of the devil worshiping of those people. She says LaRouche is getting to them and that he is about to bring them down and expose them.

Believes Dick Cheney is in with aliens, etc. His supporters are all over the metro stations here in DC. Whenever I tell them their candidate shows symptoms of schizophrenia, and I mean that with all due respect as an advocate for those with mental illnesses BTW, they tell me I should go take a look at his positions.

of one faction of the democratic party. I enjoy reading this group's literature, especially the dissertations on economics and classical philosophy.

I don't think that anyone should dismiss him as a "nut" per se, because he's certainly not crazy in the usual sense of the word.

He does however, seem extremely narcissistic and somewhat paranoid, in that he believes that various plots involve him as a target on a regular basis, but his proof doesn't quite pass the smell test.

But, as they say,just because you're crazy it doesn't mean that they aren't out to get ya.

7. No, he is not. He has no charisma and the Dem party hasn't claimed him

for years. I believe he usually runs as some form of independent or third party when he runs for prez. He is pretty much a nutbag and also a fraud. I believe he served a number of years in the Federal pen for credit card fraud (charging "donations" to credit card numbers of people who had contributed in the past, I believe).

evidenced by the passion of his followers. My reference to being a faction of the dem party was to how he represents his belief system, not whether the dems "claim" him or not. The federal prison sentence was related to tax evasion charges, not credit card fraud, and he claims that the tax evasion charges were trumped up in order to discredit him and his organization (doubtful).

9. Certainly the lady on the phone representing his group

was very spirited and devout in her belief in LaRouche vs Cheney. As much as we all regard Cheney as the prince of evil, she truly sees him wearing the robes and saying the incantations. It spooked me out a bit.

They really pissed me off in Portland, Oregon when their block of LaDuochies waving a Kerry banner also offered the man's writings falsely as "The new Democratic Platform" as if it had been adopted by the Democratic Party.

They are dangerous and should be definitively trust as far away from the Democratic Party as possible.

a few weeks ago. The woman caller said LaRouche had all the info necessary to unseat Cheney, and that they needed cash donations and pledges. I told her no, that I thought La R was kind of "out there." She said he's a Democrat, but I've read online that he calls himself a "democratic Republican" or some such thing. Weird.

How many times did LaRouche run for president? How long was he in prison for fraud, or whatever it was? He claims Bush Sr. falsely imprisoned him, but even though I'm not a fan of the Bush tribe, I don't buy it.

My hinky meter goes off regarding people like LaRouche. I just don't trust him.

The keyword, which I put in caps for a reason is small. If he actually were able to draw any significant support then he might be worth discussing for the sheer fact that he agrees with us that Bush is dangerous. That being said, he's a nutcase and doesn't have enough support for us to waste our time.
