Hell, 2006 isn't even here yet....and I'm already burned out from the Hillary primaries that are taking place all over the place.

If I have to hear about Hillary for the next three years.....that's almost enough to make me move to Canada.

Next year it will be the Hillary vs. the search for the anti-Hillary.

It's soooo predictable.

Can't the pundits do some real analyzing for a change.
Do we have to be tortured like this?

Can't Hillary just go away already! Damn!

2. Totally sick of it
Especially the way we're continually informed that there's no point in campaigning for anyone else, it's futile, Hillary has it locked up, blah blah blah.

The good part about that is that by 2008, the whole country will probably be so sick of it they'll revolt en masse and nominate someone else.

4. It's the Republicans
They think she'll be easy to beat. Some deluded Clinton followers may be doing it too. And the media does it because they think Hillary will sell.

5. I am hoping the media adoration of Hillary peaks early
and that they tire of her before long and STFU about her.

6. Nope, it's not just you
Hillary cannot be our candidate!

This country is NOT ready for a woman president considering there are those who are still fighting womens' right to personal reproductive life and health and secondly, NOT Hillary. She has too much baggage, is pro-war and I don't see where she really does that much to better things, in general. Just because we had good times with her husband (as did a few others) in the WH doesn't mean she's going to bring back the good times!

7. Remember that the media is lazy.
Edited on Tue Nov-29-05 11:55 PM by elperromagico
In 2006, there will be 435 House races, 30-odd Senate races, about as many gubernatorial races...

It's just too much for our dear media. They might have to research and report real information rather than rumor and innuendo.

How much easier it is, then, to "report" speculation. Will Hillary run? Will Kerry run again? Will McCain run? Will Frist run? Will Warner run? Will Humpty-Dumpty run? Will Twiddle-Dee run?

It fits perfectly into the current media mold.

9. She hasn't said she is -- or that she isn't. But the MSM won't shut up
Edited on Wed Nov-30-05 12:06 AM by ocelot
about her running in '08. And there's another thing: she mails out vast amounts of campaign material -- ostensibly for the Senate election in '06 -- but she sends it to people all over the country, not just NY. I get her crap almost weekly, and I live in MN, and a lot of other DUers from all over have mentioned that they get her campaign solicitations, too. If she isn't fixing to run in '08, why the hell else is she campaigning nationally for an election in a large, solidly Dem state?

12. Nor will people here...
It's not the Hillary supporters here that start threads...it's the "Hillary Hater" crowd on DU that start thread after thread about how she is a Republican in sheeps clothing, and how they won't vote for her under ANY circumstances...blah blah blah...

They profess to be sick of Hillary 2008-mania, but can't seem to shut up about it nevertheless!!!

10. Hillary is busy policing the video game industry. I seriously doubt that
she'll have time to run. She needs to keep playing to reach the next level of Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories.

13. Well one does not have
to wait till next year. We got enough Dems posting in here each and every day about Hillary. More negative than positive. Hey, she is running for the Senate in 06. That is all she is doing. She will be given enough headlines after November 2006 and the mediawhores will be at her every day on what she will do.....So, I say enough of the Hillary bashing by Dems. Give her some air so she can catch a breath but it seems like many are sucking all the air out of the room.

14. No, it hasn't even started

Hillary Clinton has yet to declare she is running for president. The media has to bring her up because she is the biggest name (by far) and most obvious choice for the Democrats out there at this time, heck she is a superstar.

So the media will focus on that.

But here at DU, I only see mostly negative threads about her, and constant campaigning for Clark, not Hillary Clinton!

15. Well, maybe it's just me then....
Although I wasn't talking so much about DU in my OP.....cause everyone get's talked about here...since we really are into democracy and potentials appear to get equal coverage (although positive vs. negative varies).

I was talking mostly about the pundits....on Teevee and in print. That's who's talking about her non stop. I wasn't even blaming her as much as all of the "talk" of her. You'll rarely find me in a "stop Hillary" thread, cause whatever I've had to say about her, I said long ago.....and true I do promote Wes Clark every chance I get...but then, he doesn't get much Corporate coverage otherwise besides if he happens to appear on Fox and smacked down somebody.

I guess her name just keeps getting bigger.....in part due to all of the talk.

With that, I'll say....Thank God for the Internet! At least I get to hear and talk about a few others due to it.

16. No, I'm sure it's not just you
But if you are sick of it now at this early stage it's gonna be a whole lot more to come if Clinton declares for the presidency in a couple years, then it will be wall to wall coverage of her all the time, it will be like a media circus because of her status. She will be like Princess Diana, with tv cameras on her all the time.
