It would have been better if Bush had given this speech BEFORE he lied

about the reasons for invading Iraq.

The difference between Germany and Japan and Iraq is this: the first two countries were engaged in a war and had declared war against the US. Iraq had done no such thing. The fact remains that Bush CHOSE to invade a sovereign nation that had not attacked or even threatened us. Desert Storm was also an action of CHOICE and we placed sanctions on and continuously bombed a sovereign nation that had not attacked us even then.

So who is trying to re-write history? And I hope the Dems are up to explaining the difference between Iraq and Germany and Japan. And even the difference between Kosovo and Bosnia.

1. Well for the 91 war, at least there was a treaty obligation

with Kuwait... don't forget that.

All wars are wars of choice. Even when you get invaded... you choose to fight back or roll over.

3. I guess you forgot that there was not agreement on the no-fly zones

i guess you also forgot that the Bush administration gave a wink and a nod for Saddam's actions against Kuwait who was "slant drilling" and stealing Iraqi oil? I guess you also forgot that we really entered the war to protect the Saudis who also lied about Iraqi troops lining up on their borders?
