"But the Dems voted for war too..." and other nonsense...
Look, the RW'ers can try to spin it how ever they want but when they throw out that red herring then deflect it and hit them hard...here's how;

Tell them that regardless of the "vote", the President led us into Iraq, he is a Republican, this is what the people relate too and this is why the Republican Party will pay the heaviest polititcal price at the polls.

2. Republican plan on how to stay out of trouble:
Involve everybody in your corruption. That way, when the sh#t hits the fan, you can't be singled out.

7. Bush, and BUSH ALONE, ordered the invasion.
Whoever voted for what is irrelevant. BUSH pulled the trigger. Never forget that.

8. The vote was to give Bush the authority
to go to war if all other options failed.

The vote was never to "go to war".

I'm not trying to justify those who voted in favor, but just to add clarification.

9. Understood
My point is that the American public's attention span is that of a knat so they aren't going to worry about a vote as much as who ultimately took us in.

Of course the corporate media uses every chance it can get to muddy the waters in it's coverage of the authorization vote.

10. I think it is important that we remember
that Congress gave Bush the authority to make the decision.

Therefore the responsibility for the decision to go to war belongs to Bush and Bush alone.

The administration (with media help) is trying to claim that the responsibility should be shared.
