1. I will, but I like Rachel just as well
There' a slim chance Marc will get an even better show, like Rachel did.

2. Doesn't matter to me. Sedition left us months ago and Stephanie Miller
came to AM1090 Seattle. She's pretty good. I like her better than the Mark's.

P.S. Are you going to the AM 1090 book club? I went last month but missed this last one however I plan to make it next time. Maybe I will see ya there.

9. In the East and Central time zones, Stephanie Miller is on when
Jerry Springer is on.

I stream through the Boston or DC channels so I can get her. Morning Sedition is on before her and Franken is on afterward.

My semi-local "Progressive Talk" station has her so I can "usually" get her in the car.

I love her show.

I never listen to Jerry Springer (obviously) but I think she would be a great addition to AAR.

the senate, Thom Hartman takes his place.

24. Question about Franken...
When he runs for the Senate when he going to run? Is he going to run for Dayton's open seat next year or will he challenge Norm Coleman in 2008 which is 3 YEARS AWAY.

34. I like Stephanie. But 'Morning Sedition' had its own genius, brashness..
Edited on Mon Dec-05-05 11:06 AM by zann725
like a double espresso...really "woke" you up. Marc has so many "characters" and "schticks" he did, and did sooo well.

Susan Sarandon & Tim Robbins (among many other politicaly 'awake' others) are among his die-hard fans. Susan will be on his show this week. Tim was last week.

While I've grown to appreciate Stephanie's quirkiness, Marc was EVERY BIT as good...and deserved "prime time"...FAR MORE than Ed Schulz, or a few others current on AAR.

11. I will miss it
But I'm hoping Marc will soon get his own show on AAR (probably within their syndication division). If he does, I think he will probably feature the same type of (scripted) comedy and cast of characters that he did on Morning Sedition.

I have mixed feelings, because I also think Rachel is great (in a different way). I'm glad Mark Riley will have his own show, as he is a real radio pro.

philosopher kings and queens, progressive utopians with no sense of humor, and all you lurking conservatives out there..." Yeah I'm gonna miss it. To me at least it seemed like a good blend of humor and serious talk.

How do you keep Ann Coulter off the air for hours?
Have her alphabetize a bag of M & M's.

16. Let's put it this way . . . the only reason I have XM is to hear
Morning Sedition in the morning and Randi in the afternoon.

There's a very good chance I'll just toss the whole shebang. I don't that I can justify paying money eveyr month for just Randi.

17. The only AAR personality that I find unappealing
is Jay Marvin who fills in for Jerry and Ed. He is so monotone and often abrasive to callers who are on his side, and yes, I know Randi can be that way too, but she is funny and interesting, so I can forgive her for being bitchy sometimes. :smoke:

Yesturday i was listened to it and there was this guy on there I think his name was Kyle Jason and my god did he annoyed me. He kept talking like he was black and he didn't even talk about poltics just Otis Redding.

My god, is he a regular or does he just fill in on the weekend when the regulars are off.

25. yes, I'll miss it
One of the best shows on AA, IMHO. Here in Portland, OR Morning Sedition has been relegated to the 3-6 AM timeslot, it's former 6-9AM timeslot now occupied by the local Portland version of the Thom Hartmann show. I find Hartmann's show dreadfully boring...can't listen to more than 5-10 minutes at a time.

It must be something for the under 25 crowd. I never could stand to listen to them! And I am a big talk radio fan....oh well different strokes for different folks.

Some people actually are going to pay to listen to Howard Stern on Sirius satellite radio......what a piece of human scum he is.

Now don't all write me about how wonderful he is.....save it please.

41. Once Maddow tanks in a few months, Sedition will make a comeback
Edited on Tue Dec-06-05 12:20 AM by zulchzulu
Granted, it will be a different name but I think people will tire of Maddow's overseriousness and predictable diatribe with her squeaky persona...my opinion anyway...

I remember her with Chuck D and Lizz on "Unfiltered". That tanked. Her show now, that's on when most people are dead asleep, is OK but feels stiff, forced and usually has stories that were on Crooks and Liars, DU and other sites three days ago...

I wish Rachel luck on her new slot, but I bet it doesn't translate in drivetime...
