Comment on Bush's economy in Dominos commercial?
Edited on Sun Dec-04-05 05:45 PM by onehandle
What would the anti-choice founder say? This is a 100% red company according to http://www.buyblue.org.

Commercial:

Dad and Pizza delivery guy at front door talking about what a good deal the dad just got on the pizza. House is totally dark. Dad calls into living room, "Now we can afford lamp time." Kids cheer, turn on lamp, start playing board game on living room floor. After a couple of seconds dad says, "Ok kids, lamp time is over." Kids go Awww... and house goes dark again.

Of course this message about how Bush's economy is destroying the middle class was probably not planned, but you never know. We creatives are not big fans of Bush.

3. Glad you brought this topic up
It is worthwhile to explore because advertisers often know far ahead of anyone else what is happening. That is because America's advertisers are the most sophisticated psychologists in the history of mankind. They spend enormous amounts of money studying, researching and analyzing. They know the landscape and it's no secret the middle class is being squeezed like never before.

I have a class where the students analyze advertising as part of a popular culture assignment. A student's analysis of a recent Jack Daniels ad indicates that this advertiser sees a new and poorer America.
