If Lennon were alive today
He would be hated by 43% of the country.

He would not be hailed on the cover of today's New York Post. He would be skewered.

His music would be banned by hundreds of radio stations.

He would be called anti american and be accused of helping terrorists.

Because he would be preaching about peace and speaking out against the lies and atrocities in Iraq.

I talked to a repug co worker today who has called Cindy Sheehan a "traitor" and a "fraud."
..... But he compared the impact of the murder of John Lennon to the assassination of JFK!

I asked him if Lennon were alive today speaking out against bush.... would he still love John Lennon?

He stumbled with his words for what seemed an eternity and said in a half assed reply, "yeah."
We both knew he was lying.

What a fucked up country we live in.

4. He and Yoko would be in adjoining cages
at Guantanamo. I'm convinced of it.

Rest your soul, John.

5. Lennon's Music has been banned on all Clear Channel stations since 9/11
"Imagine" and "Give Peace a Chance" was (Is ?)on Clear Channel's censorship list - banning any station from these recordings, among a huge list of other artists/recordings.

And by the way, I do believe that it was the same people who killed JFK, MLK, RFK, killed Lennon.

They just hired different patsys do the hit.

Working Class Hero
by John Lennon

As soon as you're born they make you feel small
By giving you no time instead of it all
Till the pain is so big you feel nothing at all
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be

They hurt you at home and they hit you at school
They hate you if you're clever and they despise a fool
Till you're so fucking crazy you can't follow their rules
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be

When they've tortured and scared you for twenty odd years
Then they expect you to pick a career
When you can't really function you're so full of fear
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be

Keep you doped with religion and sex and TV
And you think you're so clever and class less and free
But you're still fucking peasants as far as I can see
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be

There's room at the top they are telling you still
But first you must learn how to smile as you kill
If you want to be like the folks on the hill
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be
If you want to be a hero well just follow me
If you want to be a hero well just follow me

that time......when we grow up...it's hard to give up our old heroes.

Besides Lennon and the Beatles are and will always be one of the best musical groups ever....

13. I love Lennon, but I don't think he would be living
in N.Y. probably would be back in England.

And I just heard today that clear channel banned the song "Imagine" from all 1200 stations. I guess they don't want peace......

I hope not, but that's my fear. Seeing guys like Woodward turn 180 makes me wonder what guys like Lennon and Morrison would really be like at age 65.
