Neoconservatives -- NOT. Try PSEUDOconservatives.

OK, they've done a thorough job of making everyone use *their* terminology -- as advised by Newt Gingrich -- but let's face it, these guys don't hold to the classic conservative values, chief of which is DON'T BLOW THE WHOLE DAMNED FEDERAL BUDGET !! By the time the campaign commercials get going strong, we need to have the term PSEUDOconservative as familiar to voters as Willie Horton's face. "Pseudo-" correctly implies that these guys are not the guenuine article, and do not represent the previous traditions that drew conservative voters. If we expect voters to choose to reject the PSEUDOconservative agenda, we need to label it for what it is, to make the choice as clear as possible.

Let's at least give it a try. If it makes a 1% difference, that's enough to swing an election.

When the question is asked, "what is a conservative, anyways", the answer is, smaller government, less taxes and "strong on defense".

Sure they're not conservative, they don't want to conserve anything, but they sure are doing a con job, selling neofascism to the masses in the forms of Calvinist conformity and idolatry of the rich.

At last a handy phrase for describing the Republicans who are spending our tax dollars like drunken sailors, and cutting down the last twig in our forests. There is nothing conserative about them at all.
