If Bush really said this about our Constitution....then
it would be devastating if it became widespread public knowledge. What would be the defense for saying such comments as quoted from the capitolhillblue ? I cannot believe such comments could be kept from the American people...

<snip>
“I don’t give a goddamn,” Bush retorted. “I’m the President and the Commander-in-Chief. Do it my way.”

“Mr. President,” one aide in the meeting said. “There is a valid case that the provisions in this law undermine the Constitution.”

“Stop throwing the Constitution in my face,” Bush screamed back. “It’s just a goddamned piece of paper!”

1. well, we need to let the readers know that the source
is capitalhillblue. It could be right, but then again even if they are correct, unless someone talks to MSM about it those words will just stay an internet rumor.

10. and you know that for a fact I presume.
I don't know whether he did or not but it sounds like him. IMO it is very believable he would say that..

4. cap hill blue always has this 'aide or friend" in the WH--but tell me--
How can this be?---If an aide is this close (physically) that he hears this--he/she would be bounced by now.

5. So true, but what's delicious about CHB's wild claims is believability
Edited on Sat Dec-10-05 09:33 AM by indepat
because could not we all imagine these statements actually being made considering what has gone on holistically?

6. It will never be widespread knowledge
unless there is some way to overthrow private entities such as the mainstream media. Do you think if people in general knew what we know, this administration or the corrupt congress would have this much power?

8. If true, then "traitor" and "impeachment" come to my mind.
He put his hand on his "favorite" book (No, not The Hungry Catipillar), The Bible, and swore twice that he would uphold the Constituion.

9. trouble is, who in the room would go on record?
nobody. this will be dismissed as an internet rumor.

The burden of proof for anti-Bush stories is 10 times more arduous than pro-bush stories. The old "sources say" doesn't cut it with the Bushlicking corporate media - unless it's a propaganda story.
