Revocation of Birthright Citizenship..........
saw an article about this on C-Span this morning. 92 repukes will attempt to start a debate on the revocation of birthright citizenship - as a means of making it easier to deport the "illegal immigrant" or "undocumented workier" parents of children born here in the United States.

Is it too much to past these repukes that this will only be a stepping stone to ALSO make it easier to strip citizenship of US citizens that have been branded as "terrorists" under the Patriot Act?

Our government will then be able to make citizen protestors "disappear" a la Padilla.

1. They'll use it against liberals too
Don't think for a second they won't. These are very dangerous times for our country.

2. If they do this, they'd better be able to trace their roots
back to the Wampanoags or the Cherokee or the Schumasch.....

3. US heading toward feudalism, no matter how they try to paint it.
Pretty soon, if you don't have the resource$$ to buy and maintain citizenship you will be outta luck, outta rights and out in the cold.

Yep, they will be disappearing people right and left (but mostly, left leaning people) pretty soon. They are reaching the point where they are losing control and have too much criminal past to EVER risk falling out of power. Too much to answer for makes it unlikely the US will see the customary 'peaceful handing over of power' we have become used to when one party unseats another in fair elections.

5. This revocation of birthright citizenship......
isn't a done deal yet, but I think the issue is being introduced as a "trial ballon" under the guise of making it easier to deprt illegal immigrants. This may make the idea more palatable to those who believe that * admin is weak on illegal immigration.

But we should be ready to point out the bigger picture to those who may initally support the birthright citizenship revocation......

Revocation of Citizenship, for anyone, will make it easier for the government to make ANYONE "disappear"!

6. What about "guest workers" who give birth here?
I've been thinking about this lately. If Bush is successful in this, we'll have a permanent underclass of people doing the dirty work in this country.
