I dissed my boss pretty bad today

He had written on the chalkboard that power would be shut off Thursday from 6 am - 8 am. I erased part of it and wrote: "Power to Bob's brain will be shut off Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm." He just about shit when he finally noticed it. He tried to laugh it off, but his laughter was cut off, choked by the horrid truth of it all.

His partner, my other boss, laughed so hard I thought he'd bust a gut. He was crying with laughter, almost on the floor, trying to hold it all in. Part of me almost feels ashamed that I could be so cruel - but fuck that. Bob is Bob, and there is no deeper truth than that. Even blunt criticism like this will not inspire better behavior on his part. He is the unboss, the champion hoser, the wart on the ass of our company.

Bob is Bob.

I hope he has a sense of humor...or is clueless. :)

But he loves Gordon Liddy and says we should support the CinC in wartime, bla bla bla...He's just the biggest idiot I've ever known, and that's saying quite a lot. He doesn't mean to be an asshole, but he is invariably offensive.

Just the other day, a customer of ours gave him two free tickets to dinner and a movie. He joked about whether to bring his wife or his girlfriend. Ugh!
