"New Book Suggests Mattel, Boeing, Google, Walgreens and Time Warner Are
Wobbling."

My comments: I was checking out the rumor that Time Warner AOL was trying to split off it's internet company from the rest. I came upon this interesting little PR release. I wonder if the "Buy Blue" campaign has had any impact.

"Turnaround CEO predicts bankruptcy, layoffs and downgrade surprises for 2006.

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) December 12, 2005 -- “Corporate Canaries…Avoid Business Disasters with a Coalminer’s Secrets,” just hit bookshelves, and made CEO Reads’ bestseller list in the second week of shipments. Bob Bartley, Wall Street Journal editor, said, “If managers could read only one book, this should be it.”

The book’s blog at www.coughingcanaries.com tells which top corporations are headed for trouble and why:

• Mattel’s Barbie reported another sales drop. The company promoted a Fisher-Price Toys executive to fix their problem. “Wrong background,” says the blog. “Fisher-Price Toys are chunky solid, favored by Mom and barely advertised. Barbie’s thin plastic, all over TV and a fashion item with young girls.”..."

1. Well as for Google (GOOG) w/ 121B in MkCap and $421/share...
its gonna take a long while for that "wobble" to have any impact.

3. And so what do we think those lovely little supply siders will do to
"help" the economy?

3 guesses and the first 2 do not count.

1. Create jobs
2. Increase taxes somewhat
3. Cut taxes still more for the wealthy
