The Iraqi Constitution allows free health care for all Iraqis
Underwritten by the U.S. government. We don't give our own citizens free health care.

1. I guess we'll have to keep bombing them then

Can't have that sort of outrage.

4. Just read the Iraqi Constitution - health care for all
Edited on Tue Dec-13-05 02:19 AM by Erika
Google it. We will underwrite total health care for all Iraqis while we shun our own needy. Hopefully, this link works.

See at www:WashingtonPost.com.wp-dyn/content/article/2005/10112/AK2005101201450.html

If not, Google for the Iraqi Constitution. Free goverment health care for all underwritten by the U.S. government (our taxes).

Just wondering about the translation.

Did Curveball do it?

On edit: Just googled it and found a translation. Does the real deal still include mention of the CPA?

7. We underwrite both the Iraqi & Israel health care for all
It's only our own who are denied health care if they can't pay for it.

10. Good for the Iraqis!
You have to pay, pay, pay over here. My family is still struggling with healthcare bills. Bankruptcy was considered but thanks to the Repukes, they would most likely end up paying an amount back anyways.

11. Democracy differentiated. Capitalism and Democracy separated at birth!
Americans believe that Democracy is inseparable from capitalism or vice versa.

By definition it is not.

They are not at all dependent on each other.

Unless and until a Democratic government adopts capitalism as its economic system in its laws, capitalism is without influence on that Democracy.

Don't hold your breath waiting for the Republicans to force public schools to teach this line of thinking though!

A good example is that Muslims are prohibited by their religious beliefs from charging or paying interest!

Therefore, American type capitalism could not be adopted by any Democracy in Iraq.

Instead, an alternative type of economic system must be chosen and employed.

By definition, a Democracy would permit many types of economic systems.

Capitalism has no monopoly on Democracy, and may not even be the best suited economic system for ensuring Democracy.
