....."The tide has turned."

There it was, dead center on the front page, above the fold, and when I read the caption under the soldier's picture, I knew it was a seminal moment, one from which, for me, at least, everything else would be measure.

The caption reads: "Spec. Russell Nahvi wrote that he wanted to 'restore an unknown peace to wartorn nations'. He was killed in Iraq on Oct. 19, age 24."

Sort of like when Alexander Butterfield casually mentioned the taping system in Nixon's White House during the Watergate hearings.

The soldier in the picture was killed. This is the Washington Post, a true Fuckface asskisser so far, turning on him and on his ugly "war".

Here's the accompanying article: http://tinyurl.com/alhef

3. It doesn't appear the Post is "turning on" the soldier
and the asskissing has been done on the editorial page....the news section has been taking this tenor for some time.

Having said that, the "God less you" typo is VERY telling....and if one soldier's mom got a letter with that, you know a bunch of them did.

5. It says:
"Spec. Russell Nahvi wrote that he wanted to 'restore an unknown peace to wartorn nations'. He was killed in Iraq on Oct. 19, age 24."

The poor kid didn't realize that his own Commander-in-Chief was the reason the nation where he would die was "wartorn."

(I added this caption to the OP, thanks to your query.)
