I think you should be able to burn a flag as a form of protest if you want. But I think that this is distracting us from the Libby/Rove investigation, the Frist investigation, the DeLay trial, the Iraq war, corruption in the White House, Katrina, Wilma, high gas prices...

We have a Hell of a lot more to worry about right now. If we don't get the GOP out of power we'll lose a lot more than the right to burn a flag.

2. It's not June yet
(Flag Day)

Wrong season. Fox has the four seasons:

Tax Season (12/26-4/30)
Natalee Holloway/Shark Season (5/1-8/31)
9/11 Season (9/1-11/fourth Thursday)
War on Christmas Season (11/fourth Thursday-12/25)

3. It's not about flag burning
it's about sucking up to freepers for votes.

5. I'm all for Freepers voting for Hilary if it gets the GOP out of the WH
But since she's the second most hated Democratic leader (behind her husband of course) by Freepers, I don't think we have to worry about the Freepers supporting her. She could probably blow Dubya in front of the troops at Ft Bragg and they'd still want her eviscerated.

8. That sounds like a scene from...
the most HORRIBLE porn movie of all time. Actually now that I think of it, the real most horrible porn movie of all time would be Kathrine Harris blowing Rush on stage at the Repuke convention.

10. As a veteran, I'm not down with flag burning...but
just make it a $200.00 fine and be done with it. I don't think we have a problem with flags being burned all over the country at this time. Actually, I've never seen anyone burning one in person and i'd rather not see it.

4. Well yea, but flag buring is one of those hot button labels the pukes...
use to strike fear in people.

"The Democrats think burning the flag is okay."

"The Democrats want to open the borders and let terrorists in."

"The Democrats are giving this country to the faggots and Mexicans. I'm glad grandaddy ain't alive to see what this country has become."

Sure, none of this is true, but it is all part of the pukes playbook.

6. Republicans just testing their "wedge issues"
They need to know which issues will KEEP America divided. Then they will go with it.

7. We need to become "Flag Police" & dutifully report EVERY flag desecration
All those well-intentioned folks who think it is patriotic to fly a tattered flag from their car radio antennae need to be reported to the authorities.

So, charge your cellphone cameras and prepare to flood the courts with reports of un-American activities!

If this law passes, my congressman, Stephen Lynch (who is in favor of this law) will hear from me every single day about every flag abandoned on every highway overpass.

9. And yet ANOTHER thread on the subject....
For something that's "only a distraction," it sure does seem our Hillary haters are itching to burn a flag and are furious at being thwarted.
