Bush approval back down to 38%

So much for the recent bounce.

President Bush’s job approval rating languishes under 40%, despite an upturn in the economy and a public relations onslaught defending the role of the U.S. military in rebuilding Iraq, a new telephone poll by Zogby International shows.

Just 38% of Americans said they approve of the job the President is doing, down from 41% in a national Zogby America survey conducted last month.

The survey showed Mr. Bush is most popular in the western United States, where 46% approve of the job he is doing, and the South, where 44% approve. Just 28% in the East and 37% in the Midwest and Great Lakes states give him good marks.

I wonder how that is defined. The states on the Coast, Cal., Or., and Wash., are blue states and I do not believe that they give him higher than the average approval rating of 38%.

Where I live I'll bet he couldn't get 5%. And I am as West as it gets.

Bush has uniquely earned his low approval ratings. They're not yet low as his administration's representation of democracy, but the public is not buying the "freedom on the march" bullshit these days as they were earlier. Even the hapless press is beginning to find its own feet.

If Bush's numbers are down it's because his administration is low-lying.

Am I the only one who doesn't believe any of these alleged polls? It's not like they can actually be tested as to their truth and accuracy. I've become so cynical that I no longer trust in anything I read or hear: I think it's all planted. The media is in the hands of the powers that be, and they all dance to the same drummer. It's nothing but a circus: things to keep us focused on garbage while they're actively stealing our country. Most people don't even notice or care. If the truth were told, this fool's approval ratings would have to be in the teens!

I wouldn't be surprised if the "actual" approval rating was less than 10! After the past 2 elections... I don't trust any of them either!

I think coverage of the Mike vs Chris Wallace rift was probably enough to cause the 2 pt decline.

Or people have stopped believing his lies. Another poll had most Americans doubtful about the supposed Victory in Iraq plan.

Look at the electoral red/blue map. The general rule is that Bush country is anywhere
more than ten miles from a book store. People believe their media. I followed that
standard for ten years. "If anything important happens, I'll hear about it on NPR."

Then I started researching things for myself on the internet, and found that NPR
let me down on Bush v. Gore and 9/11 and the voting machines and the 2004
election irregularities.

But take heart. There are now only three red states left: Utah, Wyoming, and Idaho.
And if those folks knew what we know, they'd be howling for Bush to be sent to The
Hague!
