Condi on CSPAN today: "In 10, 20 or 30 years,
people will wonder what all the fuss was about."

The statement was made following a series of rosy promouncements on the inevitability of democratic progress in Iraq and the ME as a result of our decision to topple Saddam under false pretenses.

Seriously delusional, maddeningly casual, but also a bit of a window into her not-so-rosy near-term outlook.

2. Bush said war will be seen as success in decades to come
likely because he gave the oil contracts to American companies.

6. if the oil-based economy lasts 20-30 more years
it will be seen as a success, in imperialistic machiavellian terms. because that is the reason we're there; to conquer the oil reserves.

instead of delaying the inevitable at the cost of our national soul.

3. Herpetologists can offer a good example, but I'm --
-- thinking of one of those highly poisonous snakes whose scales are vividly colorful -- even alluringly beautiful -- but whose neurotoxin is horrifyingly poisonous and deadly.

Pick whichever snake works the best here, but I say that snake is Condi's spirit animal.

Just another dead infidel for Jesus...

5. Was it her version of the Gettysburg Address?
In this administration, if it's not one moron saying something completely stupid, it's another one.

7. I wish the smug, self-satisfied
Kinda-sleazy would take a trip to Baghdad without her security detail so the Iraqi people could demonstrate first-hand what all the fuss is about. Of all the evil warmongers foisted on the American people by the Bush Crime Family, she's one of the most despicable. Right up there with Cheney and Rummy -- the worst of the worst.

13. in 10, 20, 30 years will our loved ones be any less dead -- democracy in
the Middle East might have been inevitable without sacrificing our bravest and brightest for their profitable well being.
