Unbelievable! Bush said, basically, that even knowing that the WMD report
was bogus, he'd still invade if had to do it all over again.

If that's not a criminal confession, I don't know what is.

(I'm listening to the Malloy archive from last night via RadioPower.org, sorry if this has already been discussed to death)

That, and when he said last week that it's 'hard work' trying to reverse the damage caused by a cruel dictator. How true.

10. Oh, I'm convinced they knew it was bogus. If they truly thought Saddam
had WMD, there would've been no invasion. Period.

I just didn't think that JR Bush would actually spill the beans like he just did.

8. It's more than the WMD's
Edited on Tue Dec-13-05 05:10 PM by Tom Rinaldo
He said knowing now what he knows now, he would still do the same thing. Heck, John Edwards made the exact same comment, but he at least said it back in October of 2003. Virtually all of the Democrats who favored the invasion have apologized by now. A hell of a lot more has gone wrong since the U.S. failed to find WMD in Iraq. That was known back in 2003. Bush is still saying this crap in December of 2005, with several hundred Billion dollars down the drain, thousands of Americans killed, tens of thousands of Iraqis killed, with Al Quada recruitment soaring, with all the torture scandals, with Iran poised to virtually take over half of Iraq etc. etc. etc.

and not Edwards that said that. Do you have a link for that Edwards quote? I'd really like to see it. Thanks.

12. That question needs to be reframed. They should ask: "Knowing
that 30,000 Iraqis and over 2,000 Americans would lose their lives would you still have invaded Iraq?" And if he says YES, then they should ask why?

15. Why doesn't anyone ask him the critical question?
"Knowing that Americans, Congress, the Senate and the world would never condone a deliberate invasion into a foreign country with no justifiable cause of imminent threat - how could you sell the war?"

That is the rub isn't it? Just goes to show that he knew all along - and nothing - I repeat nothing would stop the invasion once George decided.....and he decided long before he even went to the UN.

It is a crime against the civilized world, a crime against humanity - a war crime. And if Tookie Williams had to pay with his life for murdering 4 innocents - then perhaps the same fate should apply to George - murderer of over 32 000 souls.

18. I like what Jon Stewart said one night
"Do they think we're Retarded?!"

Here, Celebrate the Season with some "Treason's Greetings":

Decorate YOUR FITZMAS TREE - an Interactive Animation, my Best Yet!

MERRY FITZMAS! I wanted a Fitzmas Tree ever since I heard the term invented on the Web, and NOW by god I have one, and you can too..

I have labored long and hard on this Interactive Animation (Flash - you may need the most recent flash plugin on your system - at least 6 I think, here's the Macromedia link for player/plugins: http://www.macromedia.com/downloads/#players ) - WHERE YOU can actually DECORATE YOUR OWN FITZMAS TREE, by dragging and dropping Ornaments and dropping them on the FITZMAS TREE - if an Ornament sticks to your "hand" it may be because of the slimy people encased within, just give it another mouse click on the tree to shake it off

There are two Flashes that interact with each other - one is the Fitzmas Tree itself, with a box FULL of decorations, the decorations being the Subjects of Indictments, Investigations, etc - something your Right Wing brother-in-law might be interested in knowing, lots of fun facts

If you click (click all over the page, lots of surprises on it) on the TITLE's of the Flashes you can go between the Tree itself, and another Flash that will load up with all the Decorations and an explanation of WHO they are, and WHAT they did.. for folks that don't know much about the Plame Outing they can get educated on the Ornaments and then click on back to the Tree and Decorate the Hell out of it

Here's two links, the first goes to the Fitzmas Tree itself, but like I said, you can click to the other Flash for more info, or a pal can get more info and Trim the Tree after.. Try this one First:

http://www.tbtmradio.com/flash/merryfitzmas.swf

or you can check out the Ornaments (but maybe miss some surprises where the Presents are) at This Link:

http://www.tbtmradio.com/flash/merryfitzmasornaments.swf

In case you're wondering what that building is in the background, it's the HAGUE, I thought it rather appropriate - and the guys in ORANGE, well, I think you'll recognize them

So ENJOY if you will, and do me a favor, keep this KICKED Please - a labor of love, but no sleep for about Three days either.. Pass it around to anyone you think might be interested, and Let me Know what YOU think of this work if you would..

And don't forget to open the presents under the FITZMAS TREE, I wrapped them special just for YOU..

22. what I found that is significant
he says he accepted responsibility for invading - but then blames Saddam for making him (bush*) invade and pardons himself (bush*) from accountability by blaming faulty intelligence...

yeah - I accept responsibility for eating the cookies but it's YOUR fault for baking them in the first place... :eyes:

Madam Zoloff predictions:

1. token number of troops will be pulled out of Iraq in time for 2006 mid-term elections, thus reframing the issue of "victory in Iraq" and giving repug candidates a "new improved" platform

2. should repugs retain control of the gummint - more troops will be pulled out of Iraq and sent into Iraq by spring 2007. Booga-Booga-mushroom-cloud time

25. W is arrogant to the point that he...
believes that most Amerikans feel that the illegal invasion of Iraq was and is justified because Saddam had to be over thrown. When he answered 30K Iraqis killed it was like he was reporting that number of ants had been killed. This man is a true Sociopath.

27. Of course he did....
Bubble Boy thinks he is nothing wrong in Iraq. He knew he was lying when he ran up to the war. He knew he was lying when he invaded Iraq. He used Intel he knew was forged and unreliable to shore up his case and manipulate people's fears of another Terrorist attack.

It was calculated and cynical and it worked. Maybe he didn't think he would ever be caught, or maybe he counted on the fact that even if he was caught, it would be too late for Congress and the people to stop him.

But then if you look at the make up of Congress, even some of the Democrats there, who is actually going to try and stop him? This is going to be long, slow and painful. There will still be a war in Iraq after he leaves office. He made his mess, and like always someone else is going to have to clean it up.
