boo-hoo... Fitz DID cancel yesterday's GJ meeting...
http://rawstory.com/news/2005/Fitzgerald_forced_to_cancel_grand_jury_1215.html

to deal with the Conrad Black case in Chicago. So Tweety was right. Ah well, we know what Fitzy's intentions were and he IS a busy guy. It's just 'The End' (indictments, indictments, indictments... please Lord, smite the enemy!) can't come soon enough. Oh, the suspense.

The special prosecutor investigating the outing of CIA officer Valerie Plame Wilson canceled a scheduled meeting with his grand jury because he was called back to Chicago to deal with last-minute elements of a case involving erstwhile media tycoon Conrad Black, RAW STORY has learned.

As of Tuesday evening, Fitzgerald had intended to meet with the grand jury Wednesday, but on early Wednesday morning, Fitzgerald received word from his staff at his Chicago office that he was needed to deal with the Conrad Black case, attorneys familiar with the case said. In addition to serving as a Special Prosecutor in Washington, he remains the U.S. Attorney for Northern Illinois.

Fitzgerald flew back to Chicago Wednesday.

3. Black was charged with racketeering today!
Which should bring Richard Perle down too, so it will be worth the wait to indict Rove.

12. Perle was on the Board of Directors
of Black's company, Hollinger International.

Black sucked money out of Hollinger and gave a lot of it to Perle to finance all sorts of deals.

When Ken Starr was dogging Clinton, did he have trials, especially major trials on his agenda?? I know Fitzgerald has had several other irons in the fire. Isn't this important enough to keep him on this case only?

Just asking...

edit for punctuation.
