I was looking around the net and came upon a message board for the soap opera Passions. I don't normally look around on this board, as I've never seen the soap, but something caught my eye. It was a header "let's talk politics". Okay, I was hooked, had to read what these people were saying. Surprising was most were bashing Bush. They were talking about Bush causing 9/11, voting for him, and going to Iraq. But the one that got to me, was one by danielsmom........
I doubt he would be smart enough to orchestrate it, but I do 100% believe that he used our fear afterwords and continued to enstill fear (terrorism colors) to raise his numbers and to get support in going to war. I also believe 100% that Bush knew that there were no WMD...it was a blatant lie to enstill fear and gain support of going into a war in order to get retribution and more money (oil). I do think there is something more to the story than we know due to the long relationship between Bush's and Bin Laden's family...but I won't speculate as to what that is. As far as Bush's beliefs... I wanted to believe that he was the christian man he claims to be. I myself am christian and have very strong beliefs and I just don't believe that he is what he claims. I am torn between my religious views and my political views...it's like being stuck between a rock and a hard place. While I believe that being gay is morally wrong...I don't think our government, who has eliminated anything relating to God from its practices (ie: taking God out of schools, only teaching evolution, taking anything God out of courts, wanting to take God off our money) has even a shred of a right to use that God they are condeming and claiming isn't real to claim that gay people can't marry. They have EVERY right under our constitution to marry and should be allowed to. Marriage is no longer considered a promise to God under our legal system...it's a contract between 2 people. How dare the hypocritical government say it's immoral? they have no right to cast God out of everything except what is convenient for them. Same with abortion...while I think it is completely wrong in any situation, as long as "science" (because that's all the government believes in) says that before such and such time it's not a person...then it is the right of the woman to abort....I knew I should have avoided this forum lol...I get really worked up over our government lol.
I thought this was an interesting take on the "problem".
