this will be the sort of phrase or concept that will allow these bastards to get a free pass on whatever develops in Iraq next - if that country falls into civil war, it will be, "Well, we brought them Democracy and THEY blew it. We took it to them and they let it fall between their fingers."

Everyone around the world knows that the Chimpenführer has created a sham puppet government in Iraq with a constitution drafted in Cheney's office which has no prayer to last the minute the US military is pulled out.

The ex CIA operatives, charlatans and Cheney's butt-buddies are in charge and they lack the support of the Iraqi people.

Already the Badr brigade supported by Iran, Mahdi Militia supported by Moqtada Al Sadr and Sunni freedom fighters are against the puppets.

They are all just waiting to play in the show of a fake democracy to make the US leave.

You will pardon us, but after several years of unrealized rosy scenarios, we're frankly skeptical. If this rosy scenario comes to pass, I'll be thankful and happy for the Iraqis. That still doesn't make everything right or justified - even if the best case scenario works out....

Given the administration's record, doomsday is your best bet.......
