Something I just noticed about the vote on the Patriot Act
Nebraska's "Democratic" Senator Ben Nelson supports the Patriot Act. Nebraska's Republican Senator Chuck Hagel doesn't support it.

5. Please make note of this:
Originally only one senator, Russ Feingold had the fortitude to vote against that act! I wish he was my representitive but he's a senator in the mid-west... I'd like to see him as president someday.

8.  All Praises to Russ Feingold - He was indeed the ONLY Democratic
Senator to vote against the Patriot Act, though i was under the impression he was the only Senator to vote against it period - apparently not true?

7. There's someone else that too often gets by with little notice...
Congress Woman Jane Harman - Democrat from California - (Los Angeles)

Her "official" position and her rhetoric are often at odds or contrary to the concerns at issue. She is a staunch war monger, Iraq war appeaser & apologist but even worse, she goes out of her way to give cover to the CIA, give them anything they want in terms of wide open powers and funding - her official positions and recent statements on her website (as well recent press conferences) give the appearance of being "concerned" about these matters of breaches to American civil liberties and so forth, but it's all a ruse.

Though currently she claims to be concerned, Jane Harman loves the Patriot Act. Right now she is doing a lot of back peddling because she's received enormous ire from the people in her district, so her acrobatic stunts should be of no surprise to the people in her district or elsewhere.

It is my fervent hope that the people in Los Angeles area will find a true progressive to replace that evil bitch, (as a woman, i give myself permission to call it as i see it) in the mid-term elections.

The problem in Los Angeles, is complicated because of considerable power that AIPAC is able to wield and other organizations which also funds her campaign that greases the political wheels in propelling her to office in the first place, because it is THEIR interests which she serves and represents.

It's essentially no different, and in fact are the same orgs which back and fund many of the Neo Libs in this party, and the Neo Cons in the other party. That's why there is such as fascistic "synergy" between the two groups and why they back the same evil policies. And Ben Nelson is closely associated with these same people. They're all birds of a feather

Do you see why it's vitally important to carefully scrutinize candidates who claim allegiance with Democratic party principles, actually represent how "We the People" see those core values and principles?

9. from darkness....
Yes, it's true: light can only shine, if political darkness is ever-present but like Diogenes in his solo quest for an honest man, Feingold was the only guy in DC carrying the torch for freedom right after 9/11.
