I Keep Hearing That Polls Indicate That The American People....
think even less of Congress than *. Seeing that we have a Repug Senate and House doesn't it hit the Repugs more than the Dems? Have they analyzed peoples opinions of the Dems and Repugs separately? Do in fact the Repugs in Congress poll worse than the Dems? Anybody have that info?

1. Good question....
I don't have an answer but it would be interesting to find out. I know that people, in general, think Congress isn't doing a very good job but when questioned about their own Congressmen they all seem to think that he/she is doing better than the rest. It's all those OTHER Congressmen that suck! I guess people like to think that THEIR Congresscritter is SURELY looking out for their needs but none of the others are. Stupid, I know but never underestimate the stupidity of the average voter. They supposedly elected bush twice, didn't they?

3. Well, *my* Representative is a Bushbot.
It's Deborah Pryce of Ohio, a major Bush loyalist. I think the Republicans in Congress are unpopular because of the things they do, and the Democrats are unpopular because they don't stop them. That's why I don't like the Democrats right now, at least.

2. It really doesn't hit either party, IMO since...
the majority of Americans could care less about what goes on in Congress. The people who are winning elections for the pukes are the people who believe that Bush is single handedly keeping the terrorists from attacking us. When he says shit like how he's "reformed" intelligence agencies in the post-9/11 world, they envision him calling people into his office and slamming his fist on a desk. Why, if you ask some of them to name the people who serve them in both houses, I bet 80% would have no idea. These are the people who the pukes have scared into thinking Bush has Osama on the run (chuckle) and that the capture of Saddam Hussein somehow makes the U.S. a safer place for us all.

4. It means that the Republican Congress is screwed in
using the President to help them out in order to win a majority again in 2006. It means that incumbents of both parties will have a harder time in getting back to congress. It means that overall, America is very disatified in how things are going, and the opposition party has not done all that it could to be an opposition party.

IMO, yes, the Republican Senate and the House are both in trouble....and the Democrats that are considered appeasers are in trouble as well.

Americans really do want new ideas and a new direction. Whether the "Powers-that-be" will allow a change to occur will depend on whether they can or can't find some "wedge issue" that can really take hold (see immigration and the Patriot Act) that will keep enough "sheeple" voters in line. The manipulation from the Power brokers (the media, the corporate interest and the "Insiders")is very powerful, and so, I am uncertain that America's disatisfaction with the current state of affairs will result in real changes and the chance for America to become a two party government once again.
