Bush will reiterate his case for staying the course in Iraq and keeping troops in place during a televised speech at 9 p.m. ET tonight. "We would abandon our Iraqi friends -- and signal to the world that America cannot be trusted to keep its word," he said in excerpts of the speech released Sunday. "We would hand Iraq over to enemies who have pledged to attack us -- and the global terrorist movement would be emboldened and more dangerous than ever before." The speech will mark the first time he has spoken on Iraq from the Oval Office since launching the invasion of Iraq.

7. It is not the global terrorist movement that vexes us in Iraq
It is primarily Iraq citizens, who want both political, and economic self determination.

Staying the course means offering them the sad illusion of the former, with none of the latter.

It doesn't count when we break treaties? That isn't something that is considered NOT keeping our word? How many treaties has Bushco ignored, anyway? The man is delusional. The U.S. breaks promises all the time.

I can see why Stupidhead has to go on the teevee to tell us that vital bit of information! I hope he prattles on for 40 or 50 minutes, doesn't take any questions, and juts his manly jaw at us to show how serious he is. Folks will be REAL happy their Sunday evening viewing is interrupted for THAT.
