"Bush Suspends Constitution, declares Martial Law" headline
Edited on Mon Dec-19-05 07:51 PM by EVDebs
So, now that the Commander in Chief can make the law as he sees fit, when can we expect that headline on the NYTimes ?

Frankly, even as a practical joke a la the Halloween Orson Welles 'War of the Worlds' broadcast, I find this headline more likely to happen. According to Operation Cable Splicer and Operation Garden Plot the detention camps are ready to go for all of us DUers a.k.a. disaparacidos, whenever Bubble Boy decides to throw the switch.

Oh, I forgot to mention...they've got things to hide

so maybe that's the reason they decided to forgo the normal legal channels of action !

2. I'd be laughing on the floor over that .... except with these guys,
You never know. When the NSA, CIA, and FBI have hiring preferences for conservatives, you can expect this at any time...

How easy to infiltrate the organization, stock it with ultra-conservatives -- I note Time magazines' Aug. 4, 1997, article Kingdom Come by David Van Biema, page 52: "The FBI and CIA, drawn by a seemingly incorruptible rectitude, have instituted Mormon-recruitment plans".

An NSA backdoor into windows ?

versus

Expert disputes charge of Windows backdoor
http://www.cnn.com/TECH/computing/9909/13/backdoor.idg/

"...if the NSA wanted to compromise Microsoft's CryptoAPI, which supports the encryption of data in Windows programs, there are easier ways. "

The NSA is around 5 years ahead of the general public on everything anyway.

It's just that we lawabiding citizens could have saved them SOOOOOOOOO much effort if they'd just asked us in the first place !

6. Fouling your nest as a "political statement " ?
UN Arab Human Rights reports from 2002 , 2004, written by Arabs state that democracy in Middle East would be a good thing...it's just that it has to be by self-determination, the reports don't say anywhere that democracy can be 'imposed'. As for you commenting on a website and hinting at actions that Gandhi surely would not condone, our NSA, FBI, CIA, and acronyms you haven't heard about are there to protect us.

What are you doing that is constructive in your part of Asia ? Difficult question. Must be answered. Stain on Islam if no answer to Bernard Lewis' "What Went Wrong ?" isn't found soon:

What Went Wrong?

By all standards of the modern world—economic development, literacy, scientific achievement—Muslim civilization, once a mighty enterprise, has fallen low. Many in the Middle East blame a variety of outside forces. But underlying much of the Muslim world's travail may be a simple lack of freedom

www.theatlantic.com/issues/2002/01/lewis.htm

It can't be imposed by the US militarily; Muslims must do the heavy lifting themselves. The US despite Bush's flawed policies, can help. Democrats and those on this DU site are working to that goal, but the Arab world must help itself first.

BTW, posting from Asia in order to 'tweak' a Democratic website ? Knowing you'll be traced by NSA ? Get some brains.

7. Whee
Malaysia is a muslim country with hehe 24 million souls
But we are one of the top 20 economies in the world also.
Oh damn I forgot 1997 financial crisis hit us.
But hey we still bouncing around

But I am not a muslim.
And it is going to be christmas soon. My office got a christmas tree up but the CEO is a muslim
And we just have a company christmas party. We being doing that for years.

Sorry if ever I let this crazy fear get to me about some sinister organistation that can operate above and beyond the law. Then this world sure need lots of help.

Anyway not so easy to mess with Asia. Go check out about the EAST ASIAN SUMMIT. Because we force now to form a group because of all this polarisation in the world.

This grouping haha 3 billion people. China, Russia, India, Australia, New Zealand, Japan South Korea,
and at its core ASEAN. there is 10 countries in ASEAN and we are now evolving this group into the EAS.

I wont speak for the ME. Those area too chaotic never much chance for peace. No peace no development.
You need to visit my country Malaysia then you understand why I dont need to fear my own goverment and why I do not fear your secret service. Why should I?
