The succession of power as a result of impeachment
Edited on Tue Dec-20-05 09:00 AM by randr
takes us down a terrible slope. From Chennery to Hassert to Ted Stevens?
Talk about going from bad to worse, or worse to worser, as the case may be.
We need to proceed with hearings on all fronts through the next election cycle. In 11 months we will see if the American people are brave, patriotic, and intelligent enough to return to a balance of power intended by the founding fathers.
Once we have taken back the house, senate, or both we can then be wittiness to a president force feed crow on a daily basis.

1. Hastert would be OK
Bumbling and ineffectual, a back slapper and deal maker who will be lost without Delay and the White House team to twist arms after he slaps backs.

We can stand a place holder for 3 years.

We can't stand 3 years of this gang in power.

5. Lets Secede To Canada!
If all our blue states seceded to Canada, not only would we bring some awesome resources to them, they would bring us national health care, as well as a decent education for our kids, as well as already be part of a sovereign democracy ~ and best of all we would immediately be out of this senseless war!

LETS DO IT! YEAH!

10. Actually, I prefer warmer climes.......
like say.........Bolivia.

In fairness, I've been to Canada three times and always enjoyed the pleasantness of the natives there. They are so hospitable.

7. The succession used to scare the pants off of me, but now I truly believe
after 6 years of this maladministration they can do little worse to us. The benefits to the country, to politics, and maybe even to the media will far outweigh any possible detrimental shift in succession. The longer we can keep the puke's misdeeds before the sheeple, the better Dems will do in the next two elections.

I'd like to think that a second impeachment on constitutional grounds for a republican administration will be the death knell for the party - but I'm probably being a bit too optimistic.

9. What makes you think
...that we'll achieve an impeachment & removal from office while we have a Repugnican House and Senate? At that point, Hastert and Stevens won't be a problem.
