14. Alito will bring it back
Even if they manage to make it go away for a day or two. The entire question of what is meant by constructionist and upholding the Constitution will become the primary focus with a President who is justifying shit-canning the Bill of Rights.

9. and that whore will do his level best to stuff it down the memory hole.
It is curious what level of outrage would actually cause a crack in the facade. We saw a glimpse of it in New Orleans, where despite the determined 'bad looter meme' campaign to spin that horror show away from the obvious conclusion that the administration is staffed by arrogant incompetent assholes, there was a three day media breakdown. For three whole days we actually had honest reporting rather than spin. Then zip-zap everyone got the memo about how they could keep that lexus and pay for the trophy wife and the vineyard vacation and how they could lose all the benefits of media-whoredom if they stayed off the reservation too long, and it was all back to normal.

So what level of outrage would make a breakdown last a week? a month? Suppose the Bush Cabal just opened up internal gitmos and started filling them with domestic trouble makers like you and me. Suppose the military trucks rolled through every town picking us up and hauling us off. Do you think the media would have an upset? Would it last more than a week? A day?

11. Wolf can't help himself....
http://www.yuricareport.com/Media/OnPatRobertsonWolfeBlitzerAndDavidCorn.html

But it’s sort of strange to realize that Pat and Wolf Blitzer go way back together. Yep! Wolf used to work for Pat Robertson's CBN way back when Pat was setting up his news bureau and Wolf was the 700 Club’s reporter from the Middle East. He was a lot younger in those days, but in those beginning days Pat exposed Wolf Blitzer to a viewing audience that topped the Nielsen ratings at 28.7 million monthly viewers! That’s a great way to launch one’s career. But Wolf Blitzer likes to keep that part of his career kind of quiet. He doesn’t list the 700 Club’s news bureau in his biography. He doesn’t tell CNN’s audience that Pat was like an angel to him when he was just an independent reporter starting out. But those of us who watched Pat’s show could never forget Wolf Blitzer’s reports. He was presented to us as such an expert—we were just so proud of him! And look how high he’s gone. You’d think he’d give Pat a little credit. No doubt he says “Thanks” by inviting him on CNN!
After all, Pat started a J-School (Journalism School) and Bob Slosser, who had worked for the New York Times became the President of CBN University and Bob Slosser shared Pat’s vision of a new America. Slosser was at the graduation of the first graduate from the Institute of Journalism, it was a young lady named Eliza Wright. And the Governor of Missouri, a fellow named John Ashcroft gave the graduation speech on May 20, 1985! (My how these folks go way back together—and it shows what loyalty can do!) Bob Slosser told the 700 Club audience that day:
“We’re going to change the way the country thinks, we’ve bought into this secularism thing and that’s taken us right down the wrong path. I believe that this institution and those like this…will change the way this country thinks!”

12. This isn't going away
this isn't just a tick in opinion...

this is a REAL law that was broken.

Clearly. Blatently. Intentionally.
and on top of that... the crooks says he will do it again.

There has never been such a clear cut case.
This is not going away.
It's just getting started.

Because David Gergen, on Hardball, was just this moment saying the same thing.

16. Arunhati Roy
...refers to this as crisis reporting. She says that a balloon goes up and all of the media outlets send out their drones. The WHouse is waiting until another balloon goes up knowing the drones will move on. Then if it should be mentioned later, they call it old news and suggest that it is time to move on.

The secret of defeating this mentality is to ignore the next bait. With the leadership of Joe Wilson that is what the Plame investigation alive. Do as Conyers suggests, keep up a steady drumbeat...make their Christmas break (which is much longer than yours) miserable. Write them snail-mail, e-mail, and contact them by phone. How many times did we write to the MSM about Plame? Lots. We will need that same kind of effort is we are to succeed.

When we do this it is good to know that we are acting together. One letter once a month is nothing, but if each of us vows to do one letter once a month...well, now we're on to something.

17. The twit told of hearing that WMD might still be found in Iraq or
proof was forthcoming that they had been transferred to Syria. Unbelievably he said this Sunday as he asked the US Ambassodor to Iraq whether he was hearing the same thing.
He is not only bought and paid for by the RNC, he's as dumb as a box of rocks.

The NYC transit strike and some small plane crash give them all they need to keep the scandal out of the news.
