and students. But he can gleefully piss away 1/2 a trillion dollars in a war that will create
a shi ite Islamic theocracy and has killed @ least 120,000 people, mad God only knows
homeless, @ least 25,000 amputees, and lined his and his rich friends pockets w/
billions.

When is enough, enough?

Come on Fitz, Conyers, Boxer, real patriots, Cindy S., Ronny Earle. and the 06 elections.

These fuckers need gone.

2. these young and old people could have turned it around in 2004
they had their chance, along with pro-choice americans, blue color labor etc.

well we will all pay for the consequences of those actions

There will be a lot more pain before this over

just like most every other election we have had in this country

if the people came out in numbers we would have won

Even your argument that their were election irregularities, they knew about that potential for four years since 2000 AND DID NOTHING ABOUT IT

Those that did vote for these pukes was because they valued their false sense of security for liberty

and maybe if we choose someone like Feingold who doesn't shift with the wind, and go back to democratic values we MIGHT win

9. We won 2000 & 2004
and we had very good turn out of the youth vote. Highest # in history.

I am sick of people saying we lost because we didn't say the right
thing or had the right candidates ....... we lost because of cheating.

LOOK @ THE PICTURE OF CUYAHOGA COUNTY (CLEVELAND, OH)
the 100,000 vote margin of bush's win in Ohio might be right there.

16. as long as believe that
and keep making up excuses why we lost, instead of learning from our mistakes and putting up strong candidates, then not only is the democratic party over but so is the country

Look at the frickn' turnout, it was pathetic. It always is. You are sick and tired of people saying we lost because we didn't say the right thing or choose the right candidates, well I am sick and tired of voting for weak candidates

Watch, the DLC and DNC will choose hillary, when they could have Feingold, clark, and others we KNOW WHERE THEY STAND ON THE ISSUES

20. Where's your evidence
Ohio had a recount that was just as bogus as the original count. Countless laws were ignored and lawsuits dismissed by bought and paid for judges. The mistake we need to learn from is the one where we allowed our election system to be privatized by right wing companies. The problem is not with candidates, it is with the election system.

14. My county had a 76% turn out....
That was the best in years. Other counties in Colorado reported higher than normal turnouts, too.

We did come out in numbers, but it's easy to win when the machines are rigged.

I agree we need a strong, principled, Dem next time, though... Of course, my picks are Cleland and Clark.... But I wouldn't mind a Feingold-Clark ticket.

17. I agree with your choices 110%, and would give time and money
if they were the nominations, I just think the Democrats do NOT have their act together

Your county MAY have come out in strong numbers, and no question about it Colorado did come through in a significant way in 2004, but in general the national election turnout was pathetic, and it is my belief if you have the turnout, no matter how much they would like to, it would be almost impossible to fix the elections.

Look at the off term elections, we won big time even with the voting machines

Election reform issue that showed 60%+ approval ratings
lost by huge margins.

Even in areas where people were voting 2 to 1 and 3 to 1 democratic.

Had it's pro bush "glitches" too.

A 100,000 people voted for a liberal democratic pro choice Hispanic for senator
but turned around and voted for bush in the presidential race. Please!

BTW I too found fault w/ some of what Kerry did and think we should put
up strong and proud candidates across the board.

23. true, but looking at it objectively
both in 2000 and 2004 there is no way we should have lost against *, and to just blame it on voting fraud is a sure recipie for disaster

24. Actually, considering some of the weird attitudes in the state....
Straight ticket voting is not common - most voters class themselves as independent and are very much independent voters. They tend to vote for the candidate, not the party. The normal state of affairs in this state is to have the gov of one party and the Lege of another; historically, the Senate has been similar (going for balance). This is a state that seems to like governmental deadlock to an extent because then personal freedoms are not so much at risk.

Second, Salazar has proven that he's at best moderate. (Better than the alternative, but not by much.)

Third, there are a lot of Mormons on the West Slope and other teetotaler religious folk throughout the state that would hold their noses and vote Democratic for a moderate rather than vote for a booze maker (Coors.)

And there are a lot of conservative Hispanic Catholics who felt Salazar's culture and moderation was more important than his abortion position, but felt that Bush's abortion position outweighed Sen. Kerry's.

Did we have shenanigans? Probably. But Boulder County (the only one I can personally verify) was clean. (We use paper ballots.)

30. i hate to disagree
but unfortunately i think most didnt turn out because it was a no contest

like a wrestling match, for show

it doesn't matter who gets in, the government wins and corporations reign supreme under the disgustingly immoral deicsions of bastards like this nazi

if a society does not look after it's old and infirm and those incapable of looking after themselves .. then what society is that?

as soon as someone really becomes the frontman in your democracy, giggle, they are soon set straight on a few things by the powers that really be

who can stand up to the combined forces of your media, military and defamation machines ... even a good man can be made to look bad if your hit with the info from all angles

and therein lies the problem, the movers and shakers have their grips on every influencial portion of your media and government

Joseph Paul Goebbels, Nazi quote:
Not every item of news should be published. Rather must those who control news policies endeavor to make every item of news serve a certain purpose.

6. Here's what was just passed
S. 1932, The Budget Reconciliation Act of 2005, is a bill to cut funding for Medicare, Medicaid, food stamps, student loans, foster care, and child support enforcement - to partially offset even more tax cuts for the wealthy elite. It also authorizes hospitals to deny treatment to the uninsured.

Right now the Senate is debating the outrageous defense appropriations bill. Trent Lott just said if they don't pass it he can't go home.

Byrd was just up. He was awesome.

13. I've been unable to watch "It's a Wonderful Life" since * took office
It just feels like the ending should be different now. Frankly, I'm just about in Pottersville due to "student loans," and "tax cuts" (for the wealthy only). "middle class" seems like a distant memory for me right now, despite the fact we were doing pretty well just 5 years ago. I have been ill since July (unable to work) and a little worried that if I need disability due to my Dr's. inability to fix or even figure out my health issues it won't be there for me when I have to make that decision.

OH but, "It's a Wonderful Life!" :puke:

to vote for these guys because they'd keep them safe from the terrusts and the gays will figure out that it's not just black and brown people who are being ground down under the boot of this regime.

This bill that Cheney shoved through will rip food out of their kids mouths, snatch away their educational opportunities, screw up their parents retirement and take their health care away.

Hey, guys - how's it workin' for ya?

29. CHENEY HAS NOT YET WON ON THIS - Call Pelosi -->
It has not yet passed in the house:

Surprisingly, the flurry of activity left several bills short of final passage in a Congress where Republicans hold majorities in both houses.

Senate Republicans said they expected the House to approve a $493 billion defense spending bill -- shorn of the ANWR provision -- on Thursday. Ditto for the Patriot Act extension.

But Democrats in the House said they would not agree to speed action on the deficit-reduction bill they voted against unanimously earlier this week.

The House approved the measure in the pre-dawn hours of Monday, but the Democrats' leader, Rep. Nancy Pelosi of California, said she will insist it be re-examined ''in the light of day'' the next time. That's likely to be in February.

31. Not gone yet
The House now has to vote on it again, and they won't get to it until late in January, and it just barely passed the first time. There's a chance it will fail in the House; Bush is wearing out his welcome with the moderates there, and Jan. is the official kickoff of reelection drives. We only have to pull two votes away.
