CIA Chief Pays Secret Visit to Ukraine


Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko has held a brief meeting with CIA Director Porter Goss, who paid a secret visit in Kiev last Friday.

The meeting focused on ways to combat international terrorism, presidential press secretary Iryna Herashchenko told Interfax.

“The president had a tight working schedule on Friday. He conducted several meetings, including this one,” she said, adding that it was brief and focused on counterterrorism efforts.

The CIA chief’s visit to Ukraine had not been officially announced.

a few days ago the Ukraine said it was removing all their troops from Iraq.

Porter Goss is one of the most clueless people to ever come out of Florida. I can't imagine he was there to give Yushchenko info on who might have poisoned him, or info on any new plots, --- and hope he wasn't there to add some poison to the mix. Probably, knowing this administration, it was just a taxpayer-paid junket and he had to meet at least briefly with someone to make it look credible. Not that the Ukraine is one of the vacation spots of the world ... but maybe it was a place he'd wanted to visit. Perks ... use 'em while you got 'em.

Goss asked Ankara to be ready for a possible US AIR OPERATION!!!!

During his recent visit to Ankara, CIA Director Porter Goss reportedly brought three dossiers on Iran to Ankara. Goss is said to have asked for Turkey’s support for Washington’s policy against Iran’s nuclear activities, charging that Tehran had supported terrorism and taken part in activities against Turkey. Goss also asked Ankara to be ready for a possible US air operation against Iran and Syria. Goss, who came to Ankara just after FBI Director Robert Mueller’s visit, brought up Iran’s alleged attempts to develop nuclear weapons.
