In 1914, Christmas Carols stopped World War I !

There's an interesting article about it in todays Independent:
http://news.independent.co.uk/europe/article334971.ece

After the carols got the Christmas Vibe going, soldiers from opposite sides stopped shooting at each other, sang together, traded little gifts and played a game of soccer.

This brief grassroots truce movement was an interesting forshadowing of how more tennacious music-fueled activism was able to stop the Vietnam War several decades later.

Many indie musicians today want to do the same thing, and we've rallied together to create a site with music, text and pictures in this good cause: http://artistlaunch.com/artist.asp?artistid=7635

2. I really need to read that account!
It shows how the universal human emotional language of music can help people transcend conflict.

There was a lot of eloquent writing about the terrible waste of World War I . That was the begining of today's anti-war movements.

4. Great tune!
I finally did find the clip of it from your Winter Solstice album.

I you upload it to http://artistlaunch.com , I'll feature it on artist launch station http://artistlaunch.com/artist.asp?artistid=7635

I learned at mp3.com that stations like that can be powerfully influential in shaping a global musical culture. And NOW IS THE RIGHT TIME TO MAKE A MOVE. We should seize all the communications resources of the internet to build a movement....and indie music keeps it all moving.
