MSNBC poll shows 86% approval
for Bush impeachment

December 26, 2005

An online poll indicates 86% of 156,469 respondents believe impeachment of President Bush is justified.

The unscientific survey conducted by MSNBC listed choice of four answers to the question, "Do you believe President Bush's actions justify impeachment?"

"Yes, between the secret spying, the deceptions leading to war and more, there is plenty to justify putting him on trial - 86%.

"No, like any president, he has made a few missteps, but nothing approaching 'high crimes and misdemeanors.' - 5%.

4. That wasn't all us, either!
There has to be a lot of support for impeachment for the numbers to be that high!

7. Encouraging, but I put no weight in e-polls at all.
Now, if this were a Zogby poll...I'd be tapdancing on my desk.

knew about this and had plenty of time to counter any skewering, yet it was consistently in the 80 percentile. Plus, the wording of the question and answers was well done, which is unusual for most e-polls.

21. They did.
The bots were running full force on this one. They pulled it down from 93% to 86%, but enough real votes went through that their Freeping came to nothing.

20. I'm wondering if these polls are more accurate than we think
With that many respondents, the freep/DU/online activist votes likely cancel each other out. Maybe these results are more accurate than official polls since the numbers come from informed people who actively seek out the news?

12. i hope msnbc reports it on the telly
let some people know (including my neighbors) that there are actually people here who think impeachment is a serious option to their standard of forgive and forget and get over it.

13. My, how "Red America" has changed it's tune.
If nothing else this proves that "Red America" doesn't know it's ass from a hole in the ground. We told them about Bush, we warned them, we did everything but shove it down their throats, but they KNOW an "honest, moral man with traditional American values" when they see one, right? :eyes:
Next time, listen to us will you? If there IS a "next time"!

17. Apparently
there are people who approve of the job he's doing but want him impeached. Are people that stupid.

Impeachment 86%

Approval rating 38% i'm guessing (50% one poll says Rassmussen?)

If we keep it up, more and more people may consider the evidence and say "why not?"

22. Been watching this for a few days
Do you believe President Bush's actions justify impeachment? *
167288 responses 86% favor impeachment.

Wondering why it has stayed online this long without any comments.
