If We Collectively Believe That *Co Is Blackmailing Dems & Repugs.....
there is power in numbers here. *Co can't possibly blackmail and out everyone at the same time. It's time for all these people that are being blackmailed to band together and out *Co for their tactics. Lay it out there. There can't be anything more damaging than treason. No sex, money, drug, etc scandal can be worse than *Co's use of underhanded tactics to lie us into a war, condone torture, killing, stealing - i.e., their culture of corruption. They are treasonous and we need to have both Repugs and Dems band together to stop this.

1. Agreed!
I have an article on this topic in the 'Current Articles' section on the Home Page:

It will only take a few good Republicans (and I believe they're out there) to stand with the Dems on this.

2. Unfortunately, too many people still believe the spin
no matter how far fetched it sounds. Enough people have seen the attack machine in action and being completely effective. It never has been for me because I've always considered the source, something I was taught growing up. No matter how many lies come out of this administration and out of the media, they are still considered "reliable sources". And when they attack, they ruin lives. When we stop giving them listening to them and maybe even fight back with the truth, we might get more people breaking rank and singing.

3. They went too far with Dan Rather. They lost control of the press
Edited on Tue Dec-27-05 04:03 PM by McCamy Taylor
when what they thought that what they were doing was asserting control over the press. Healthy self preservation levels of fear turned into a combination of blinding terror and outrage and now we get "When the WH Press Corp Attacks" and "Everything Changed After Katrina".

Proving that there are some limits you should not cross when you use torture as a means of intimidation. Too much can backfire and make your victim stronger rather than weaker.

Similar thing with Murtha. When they threatened a Dan Burton style investigation of him for his opposition to the war, the Dems closed ranks. GOP never learns moderation.
