76. What Bill Clinton wants is what Bill Clinton gets and right now he wants
to be back in the white house and be in the center of power.

Bill is the MOST successful democrat alive today. There is no
one who can stop him making Hillary the nominee and the president
by winning the general election.

Frankly, I loved the Clinton era and am wishing for it to reappear.

44. It's sad but I agree
The Rethugs would love it if she were nominated because they know what we don't seem to understand - this country will not elect a woman during my lifetime (and I'm 45). Why do you think Faux is making up all these polls that say she's the Democratic frontrunner? Because they want her to be. I wish that she'd understand that, ignore her ambitions, and stay out of the race. But, to be fair, if I were in her shoes and I saw all the media stories about how I could be top dog, I'm not sure I'd stay out of the race myself.

She does not have our votes at all. I want to win for once. I hope she does not get the nomination. We have too much to lose to risk it right now. Maybe in eight years or so she could run. We need time to get Dem's in and fix the country. We do not need someone who thought the Iraq debacle was a good idea. Anyone could see what it was all about.

78. Dick Morris will also be happy with Hillary as the Dem nominee
What a better way for the GOP to regroup after the disastrous Bush years than to have the Democrats oblige them by nominating Hillary for President. Instead of a vigorous debate about the harm that Bush/Cheney have done to our country, and an alternate Democratic vision for America, we end up with a nominee that will become the sole issue of the 2008 campaign.

Up on the hilltop where the vultures perch,

Just Charles Nelson Reilly nailed to a cross.
I don't piss, I don't shit, I'm gettin' no relief,

Yeah Charles Nelson Reilly he's our man,
He can't heal the sick with the touch of his hand,

Just another greedy actor on the late late show!

It would be a terrific ticket either way - Clinton/Edwards or Edwards/Clinton.

Vilsack would spell doom to any ticket - he's only big in his house (Iowa) or the DGA or DLC outside of that nobody knows or cares who he is. Go read the news reports of his glorious trip to the FLA Democrats convention. Wonder if anything important was going on that weekend....Oh, yeah, Iowa was poised to lose it's First in the Nation Caucus. What? our Governor didn't care? Our Governor wasn't there? Nope, only sowing the seeds for his big '08 run. Ugh :eyes:

We need a president with good sense and a commitment to helping the country come together again. We are more split now than ever before.

I for one am sick of politics as usual. Electing Hilary (If she could win which is unlikely) would only widen the divide.

Actually I like John Roberts if I needed to make a choice but I'm not choosing the better of two evils again. Its in in best interest as citizens to vote for the candidate we like best. Instead we are lazy....Alas

63. I picked Clark but I pray she isn't the nominee
The repukes would LOVE if she became the democratic nominee, they've successfully vilified her ever since Bill stepped into office. The Republicans sheer hatred for Hilary would bring them out in droves and could sway many independents/undecided voters. The Republican haterd for her would unite them more than the Democratic support for her would unite us. If she is the nominee we will have a Republican in the White House again I can assure you.

Still,if worse came to worst I think Clark would be the best choice for the ticket. I'm not a Hilary Clinton fan at all, but I would hold my nose and vote for her. If she was to pick someone like Lieberman as her running mate however, she would definitely not get my vote.

Hillary is convinced that SHE has the credentials on national security (great at voting for war) and Arkansas all tied up.

Our country needs leadership not poll readers.

If the Democrats are so hell-bent on self-destruction that they end up nominating Hillary for President, we might as well finish the job by putting Holy Joe as her running mate.

Gore/Clinton. Either one will do for me. And to who doesn't agree: I am entitled to my opinion as well. I'll see your Hillary/Bill/Al Gore hate and raise you a million loves for them.

Now, if you'll pardon me (and if you were a Clinton or a Gore, I know you would), I will be  waiting for your insults.

Not to worry, Jamastiene. There are many here that find the gratuitous bashing (they call it constructive criticism) of Democrats nothing short of pathetic. The density of these types here does not reflect the true numbers "out there." I'll stand with you.

Actually, I think that any candidate other than maybe Barbara Boxer, should take Feingold as VP if they win the nomination.

100. You are playing into the Rethugs hands
by even suggesting HRC's inevitability. They want her badly. They know they can energize their base against her. How on earth does Hillary win a general election? Does she get a single Republican vote? Does she energize the Dem. base when so many Progressives will be apathetic or stay home? Does she get any male votes other than Dems. who show up to pull the "D" lever? I don't even know many Dem. women who are excited about her. Can you spell 48-state defeat?

101. To be fair...the number the watchers see is 40 states go R
Hillary's "people" are well aware of the loss we will face, but let's put ego uber alles. They see a slim, I repeat SLIM, possibility of how it could work out. The only problem the Hillaries have is their need for blinders. Put a woman in the vp spot of the republican ticket and all bets are off. Mostly they spout that Hillary can win if no one is running against her. Yeah...that's gonna happen---not.

So what I'm hearing is that Hillary will carry 10 states. But hey! At least the rightwing will come out in force.
