Can we please NOT discuss 2005 anymore? We have some real
hard work ahead of us, in 2006. I DON"T WANT TO LOSE AGAIN!!! I really don't...

I am tired of the worst blah blah in 2005 posts, most blah blah in 2005, and best blah blah in 2005...etc.

Can we move on please, what is our plan? who is working the hardest? What is Howard Dean and Co. up to? is it enough? What is our message? is it clear enough? will voters hear it? Who will lead? How can we help?

2. I hope the Dems run a generic ad in 2006 with Sheryl Crow's
"A Change Would Do You Good" as the song overlay with photo's of the Republicans indicted and a short blurb about their scandals running on the screen.

They could run it everywhere and end with with a vote Democrats in 2006.

It isn't the full argument, obviously. We need to have some great ads stating our platform we are running on but the tune works perfect with the "Culture of Corruption" mantra.

Onto to 2006. Adios, 2005.

4. I love the "culture of corruption" phrase and I like your idea
of the generic ad...You see, we are already being more productive!

That's what I am talking about.

6. If you want to know how to win in 2006
study the anti-proposition campaign by Alliance for a Better California in California. They did a great job. I think the most important aspects of the campaign were constant telephoning and person to person contact during precinct walking. It's all a matter of getting the Democrats out to vote. The Republicans do it. We can too. If we do what the Republicans do, we win. There are more of us almost everywhere.

Granted, it's harder in Republican states. Those of us who live in those states need to make much stronger commitments to walking precincts and spending the long hours calling voters.

Start early. Register voters in Democratic areas in front of supermarkets, at parks, in other public places likely to be frequented by working people. START EARLY. START NOW.

Preliminarily, organize venues in which you can meet socially with other Democrats -- various kinds of clubs -- even bowling parties. That is essential because you need to know and trust the people you are going to work with closely during the campaign period.
