Local Activist Throws Hat in Va. Senate Race
http://www.wtopnews.com/index.php?nid=25&sid=663942

FAIRFAX, Va. -- The year is only three days old, but already the political season is heating up in Virginia. WTOP Radio has learned Harris Miller will challenge Republican incumbent George Allen in November.

Miller, an activist in Fairfax County, will formally announce his candidacy next week. He describes himself as "a shorter, and poorer version of {Governor) Mark Warner."

The 54-year-old McLean resident is currently the President of the Information Technology Association of America. He wants to see more done by the Federal government.

...

Democrat Jim Webb has also been mentioned for a Senate run, but the party leadership, including Gov. Warner, wants Miller on the ticket.

--/snip--

Hmmm...do they know something we dont? Thats an interesting little tidbit to throw in at the end like that... I dont know anything about this guy, but Im glad someone is challanging George Allen. Id put my money on Webb but he hasnt decided yet. In any case, best of luck to Miller.

4. Isn't McClean where the Intel Community reside?
i'm three thousand miles away, i don't know the lay of the land there, but this tidbit about being the President of the ITAA is rather spooky ;) ... and what exactly does he want to see more done by the Federal Government?

just a couple of details would be nice.... ;)
