MSNBC discussing Peter Pace comments: Murtha "damaging"...

Murtha's comments when asked if he'd enlist today ("No") are "damaging," and the recent Iraq elections PROVE that the insurgents are LOSING...BUT...it's up to the Iraqi people to "step up" and take on the insurgents THEMSELVES.

Can you say "exit strategy?"

We have a guy (married and father of 2) in our church who was dying to get back in the military after a number of years as a civilian. So he signs up for the GA Natl. Guard and in 3 wks he was notified he was headed to Iraq IMMEDIATELY. Then the whining and crying started- 'never thought he would go there and so soon, blah, blah'!

Give me a break. He's an irresponsible idiot with 2 little kids home here. I have zero sympathy. Guess what- he is now guarding convoys moving around Iraq and his wife emails everyone in the church to pray for him everyday.

Help me here- isn't it these convoys who are getting hit all the time?

The talking heads will be bashing the Iraqis who are getting a paycheck from the U.S. to be U.S. soldiers, protecting the puppet government and U.S. forces for 'not doing a good job'.

They are NOT Iraq forces. They are NOT protecting Iraq. They are paid to prop up the puppet government which Iraqis do not support.

How many times do we have to go through these same idiotic motions when we lose a war? Killing and maiming tens of thousands for our pride.

I am amazed at the way our few supposedly 'left' media voices let themselves get snookered by some idiotic rightwing meme, at how we show up unprepared to fight, at how we allow ourselves to get diverted from what matters.

Bill Press this morning was all over the 'media got it wrong' crap over the mining disaster when the STORY THAT MATTERS is that the owners of that mine and the federal oversight agencies murdered 12 miners for money.

And Big Ed has nothing better to talk about than Murtha saying that all things considered, he wouldn't enlist today. Not Abramoff, not NSA spying on everyone, not pending war with Iran, not scandal after scandal after scandal - nope Big Ed wants to slam Murtha for speaking the truth.
