What does my DNC membership card do for me?
I just got a membership card in the mail with a donation form. What exactly does this card do for me?

1. I have the same question.
Can I use it at a DNC ATM? Will it get me into the next Dem Convention?

2. It's a nice gesture of appreciation.
Other than that, I'm pretty sure, bupkis. Although I could be wrong. If you want to be represented, find out who your state delegates to the DNC are and nag them about your issues.

3. For starts, it gets you free scrutiny by the NSA...
 ...and it wouldn't be half as funny if you weren't quite sure whether it's really a joke...

As a life long Yellow-Dog Democrat I hate to say it but the DNC in no way represents the rank and file Democrats in our country. They are about money, money, money and money. The DNC office is full of people who only care about keeping their jobs. I could tell you horror stories about the present day DNC. Howard Dean is a good man but he doesn't belong with that self-absorbed rat pack called the DNC. Now I feel better:)

6. It gives you the glorious ability to give more money to the DNC in the
vague hope that they will respond to your ideals and philosophy. Course, you can do that without the card, but you don't get that cozy feeling of belonging.

A blue heaven where we have a competent leader who cares more about the American people than his wardrobe. :-)

12. Ours got us a phone call asking for more money, just
a couple of days ago. My husband told the caller that we wouldn't be giving any more money to the Dems until they started acting like an actual opposition party. (The caller was lucky that *I* didn't answer the phone because he or she would have gotten a much longer lecture!)
