Alito: "No person, no matter how high or powerful, is above the law"
"There is nothing more important for our republic than the rule of law," Alito said. "No person, no matter how high or powerful, is above the law and no person in this country is beneath the law."

2. He's had at least two, maybe more, memos...
... saying exactly the opposite--that the Attorney General ought to exempt from prosecution for ordering illegal wiretapping, under certain circumstances.

3. That remark still has me wondering
Is it a suck up comment for the dems, or, warning to someone. It looked and sounded like something that wasn't natural for him to say, like a script that was not of his making. Actually, the guy didn't appear to be as glib as we were lead to believe he would be. Tomorrow will give us a better picture of him. Today he let us know that he was a died in the wool republican even in his college days. Remember bush making statements about the war protestors and disruptors in college, Alito is making the same noises. "Irresponsible" is the word he used. Hope someone asks him what they were doing that was irresponsible.

4. Except if your name is *
Or if the person is merely an artificially created legal entity, aka, a corporation.

STP to Scalito: You're about as Catholic as Osama bin Laden is Muslim. You think we're stupid, but we weren't born yesterday.

If he fails to do so, can we "recall" him? (Lying under oath? Perjury?)
