4. Glad you like it! We're reaching out to the pre-schoolers!
It's never too early to teach them the evils of the Bush administration!

5. wonderful!
years ago, some politician or religious person said, "give me a child and i will have him for life", and you are right kids need to start learning early enough so they can develop their thinking and discerning abilities!!!! (and kids in adult bodies do too!) wonderful work. thanks again.

7. I try to weave little tidbits into the cartoon for people in my life.
Like nieces, nephews, god children.

We've thought about doing some of our favorites without any color for weekends, so parents could print them out and let the kiddies color the pictures.

I want these kids voting straight Democratic by age 12!!

10. We were going to do it for the holidays, but we just ran out of time.
He and I both have real lives with real things we do for a living that don't include the cartoon. It's an expression of my writing and his art, for the purpose of shaping public dialog.

I'm working on some things like the idea for the coloring book segment, which I want to run the next time we take a few days off. My family is out of the nest, but his aren't, so I have a limit on how much I can ask him to draw. He's busy cranking the next week now, which I wrote last week.

I'm looking for something to write on Alito, but nothing has hit me yet as packagable for the cartoon.

14. If Alito were wearing an audible lie detector ...
... it would have been going off frequently today. He simply lied over and over.

Doesn't remember why he joined CAP. He was 35 years old at the time, and he was applying for a job in the Reagan administration.

"Yeah, I don't know what this group is, but I think I'll join it and put it on my resume so the president will hire me."

Bull Snarky!!

22. Russian? Could be! It's the nickname my Polish babci gave me.
Petrushka, in Polish, is parsley; and parsley was Bubby's favorite potherb.

When I attempted to register at DU under my given name--Patricia--it was already taken. So, "Petrushka" it was/is.

:-)

31. Maybe because "Petrushka" is the name of a ballet by . . .
. . . Russian composer Igor Stravinsky???

8. Eve WAS framed!
God is supposed to be in charge of the universe. Adam is supposed to be in charge of the Earth. But they have to blame EVE?

Glad you like the cartoon!

11. Thank you! My thinking exactly. I often wonder if that is the origins for
the Repukians lack of ability to accept accountability for anything. From the bottom to the top NOT a damn thing is ever their fault!

I've been sending the links to these various cartoons to friends of mine, they could use a good chuckle in these days of King George and his madness. Thanks for each :-)

15. Original Sin = Original Malarkey
The notion that a thinking being - muchless an all-knowing, creating God - would summarily condemn a creation and all its descendants is about the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

Tonight in three hours the new one comes up for Wednesday, and it also alludes to a TV show, but a very different kind.

(Hey, that's my version of a "teaser.")

When I first started posting here, I might have suggested you were a freeper spy but with this one, you've not only dispelled my tin-foil-hat notion but shown real genius that's gut-splitting funny. What a friggin howl! Who'd you study under Lenny Bruce?

The one that was up for this thread has left our main page in favor of the Thursday cartoon about Jackass Abramoff.

Here's the one for this thread ...

I saw this one a while back... I meant the NATIVE one, it shimmers with Bruce and I feel it's your best yet, at least from what I've seen.

BTW, "thank you masked man" for a laugh.

27. Thanks. When I was a kid, I wanted to be Quanah Parker.
He's still a hero. There's a cool little museum about him in North Texas.

Great man, if tragically flawed.

Have you ever seen the short Bruce cartoon, "THANK YOU MASKED MAN?" jeez is it cool. His other work was cutting edge. It all needs a revival these days.

30. You're right. That did slip past me. Yes, now I remember it.
In fact, I saw it as an Animation Festival in 1976 or 1977, along with the infamous BAMBI MEETS GODZILLA.

Ever see that one?

32. no
I missed it... is it classic Bruce? What's the social satire in Bambi meets Godzilla? Oh, bye the way Neil, this native cartoon is going to be a hard act to follow... it shimmers with social satire but I WOULD love it, with that itsy-bitsy trickle of Creek blood in my veins.

33. Mine's Comanche ... you should the photos of my grandpa
He was a quarter, but he looks like he should be wearing a headress in photos from the 1920s and 1930s.

Bambi Meets Godzilla

This five minute short is in black and white and opens with Bambi eating grass in an open field. As Bambi eats, the credits roll, and roll, and roll. The last thing to happen is a big Godzilla foot, which suddenly slams down on Bambi, whose little legs are seen twitching. THE END.

34. great great granny was likely pure blood
But it's hard to trace in genealogy with her multiple name changes... it looks like she was in the closet s little but gaging the one old photo we have, she'd have a hard time hiding her roots, in her day. Those roots of yours are a piss and vinegar got-get-um and let the ancestors sort it out kind of tribe. Pleased to meet you sir.
