Alito's Twilight Zone

Did everyone just hear Alito confirm there is a Twilight zone?

He used the term in reference to the Jackson ruling , under Leahy's questioning.

The president can't torture, unless it falls under this Twilight Zone catagory.Then everyone he orders to do will also be immune.

These people are insane.

AGAIN!!

It's OK, according to him, for officers to go to a home where they have a warrant to search only the home and the owner, and then also strip search his ten year old sister, who was there outside and visiting with her mother. That is outrageous, and he's still defending his position.

Any judge who could approve that action should never, ever be on the Supreme Court. It portends badly for our future. It means, simply put, he has no idea where we, as Americans, draw our lines on government intrusion.

Alito is dangerous. He must be filibustered.

3. can you explain?

While I have used terms like Twilight for Democracy Zone because this all reminds me of the old Rod Serling TV series, I had no idea it was a common reference on the HIll. How is this zone defined in mainstream totalitarian America these days?

that's the clip...It was Jackson that coined the term, Alito had to catch himself from using it again and refered to it as Jacksons third area.
