The Turnabout Is Starting

So, I opened my mail yesterday, and for various reasons, I'm on a number of Republican mailing lists. Usually I just toss the stuff, but sometimes it's nice to see what they're up to :)

So, unsuprisingly, it looks to be that the Republicans are going to try to turn the public outrage over the Abramoff scandal against their opponents. The piece I got today is from Mark Green, who is one of the Republicans running for Governor against Jim Doyle here in Wisconsin, and starts out:

"It was such an outrageous display of political money-grubbing, at first I didn't believe it was true..."

He uses the term "pay-to-play" three times in the letter, as well as other classics like "scandal-plagued,"shakedown governance" and "shady cash machine."

Brass balls, I tell you...

Ordinarily, you wouldn't expect a man to be so twisted. He apparently doesn't believe any of the people he'll be speaking with ever bothers to read or watch anything Fox didn't create!

Hope he gets what any other congenital liar deserves.

When they know they are about to be busted for their criminal/unethical acts, the first thing they do is rush out and accuse their opponents of doing whatever they are doing.

They may be a day late and a dollar short on this one. heh heh
