Bush sinking again in polls
Has anyone noticed that Bush has lost 5 points in the Rasmussen poll in the last week and is bumping along at the bottom again? This poll is very Republican and usually is about 5 to 10 points higher than others. Right now he's at 43% there. I'm wondering if the combo of Abramoff and spygate are starting to take a toll?

11. OK I confess I had to look up that word
a detritavore is an organism that feeds on detritus; detritus is dead plant and animal matter that makes new life possible. The very bottom of the food chain, detritus is the rotting leaves in the forest ...

Not sure about the new life part but the bottom-feeder is dead-on!

3. Notice the "Strongly Disapprove" is at 40%. Strongly means people
might actually do something with that disapproval. At least be vocal about it, maybe even actively recruit others to their point of view. Maybe get people organized.
The strongly disapprove number is almost twice the "strongly approve number" Bad news for bushie indeed.

6. You bring up an important point.
Why are The Evil One's numbers sinking? There's nothing really happening around the country. It's kinda quiet.

So what's the deal? And this should make the White House break out in a cold sweat, with pasty white faces.

Bush is s-t-r-u-g-g-ling to swim upstream.....up the Colorado River. It seems like he's been out there every day, making some kind of "major speech", "new policy", "Victory in Iraq" bla bla bla barf.

So if he's sinking, that's very bad news.....for him.

23. I think it's the spying.
He is backed in a corner on the spying because of FISA. I think a lot of americans figure that if he was spying without FISA knowledge and consent, it was for reasons other than terrorism.

8. Does it really matter at this point?
We can sit and watch the polls bounce between 30 and 45 for the next few years, he doesn't need to win any election

9. These polls are no more legitimate than the so-called "elections"
These numbers are used to frame the suitable amount of discontent that can be expressed. The pulse of the country does not operate like the pace of a horse race with a rapidly shifting front runner. Nobody who has woken up has gone back to sleep. There is no fence for people to be on. This administration has far, far less support than any poll or corporate media outlet will ever say because we would be strengthened and emboldened if we were to realize how massive are our numbers. Know this, and act accordingly.

10. Precisely
I have an Impeach Bush sign in my yard. Each week I have more and more people come up to the door to ask where they can get them.

16. Gas prices are rising AGAIN. In Northeast CT they are just under $2.50
per gal for 87 octane.

I found that as gas prices climbed, they helped Bush's poll numbers descend.

17. Rasmussen is a Republican-friendly poll
They always prop Bush more than other polls. Usually, take 5 percentage points from the Rasmussen poll, and you'll be closer to the truth.

21. Will you stop making Rasmussen popular?
In Virginia, they were off by 4%. Predicted Kaine was only 2% ahead of Kilgore. Kaine actually won by 6%.
